Wish List
1: I really hated the necromancer feign death nerf that caused all spells to break effect and the mobs to reset. Feign death was an integral part of a necromancers ability to reduce agro, and yes from time to time save their backsides. It was never so powerful that it was game breaking. They had the same setup in EQ and they nerfed them there as well, thus making SOE versions of necromancers vastly less enjoyable to play solo and still not as valuable in a group as many other classes.
2: The player housing decoration situation. I spent a lot of time crafting in VG and the things you could put in your house were all beige, boring, ugly- yuck. But you walk through a city and there are these wonderful models of beautiful pillows, pottery jars, and swords on racks. If you place a sword in your house it just looks like a cup. I dont want a weapon rack full of cups! (My husband used to tease me about playing an mmo so I could decorate my Barbie dream house.)
3:The other thing that was annoying was that guy they stuck in Khal that you could hail that gave you a sloop. Its terrible to spend a lot of time working on a craft line to have the rewards given freely by NPCs.
4: I loved the Satchel of Winter (summon Snuggles) quest and wish they would have put it in.
5: It seemed as time went on a lot of the places to get platinum coins from were phased out, ie no more coins yeilded. It would be nice to see those come back.
6: I loved the holiday events, world drops and quest lines. They were fun and well thought out.
7: Hilsbury Manor was one of the coolest looking places in the game with a very disappointing questline. I would have loved to stay in there for 10 levels. Even worse, completing the initial boss kill and getting a "To be continued we promise" notice when they game is 4 years old was very disheartening.
On a sidenote: If you need help with quest writing I used to play DnD and was also a DM a while. I could help you with quest ideas and scripts.

Just wanted to touch on this one... There is continued content for the Hilsbury line, just not very well connected.
When you get to the 40s and go into Plains of Anguish there's more tie-ins with Hilsbury and eventually they added in content for 50+ where you go into the mirror after the vampire to challenge him and his family.
Admittedly, it could have been handled better because you could completely go without seeing the 40+ content and even that was tenuously connected at best.

Re: Wish List
I heard they put in 50+ content towards the end. I admit I only had a 52 disciple and a 48 druid the rest were below 35 or below. By then almost my entire guild have moved on to other things since our server was basically a wasteland (Halgar peak sever pop 14). I never ever encountered the 40+ content you speak of. That is also the beauty of Vanguard, there was always something new you were just finding.
Re: Wish List
Hillsbury manor was one of the coolest places. It was very retarded to have that mirror say to be continued

This was reverted shortly after implemented. It caused much upheaval on the official forums and the ended up reverting FD back to the way it was originally implemented.
I still was unhappy with turning the Necro poison PBAOE into a DD. I also didn't care for the nerf to the death touch spell either.
Since we are comparing the VG necro with the EQ necro, I never did understand why they didn't give the VG necro undead specific spells like the EQ necro had. For example, charm undead, undead specific DD. The only undead specific spell VG necros have is a mez. And they get a spell to turn mobs into undead to use that spell, which I guess might be why they didnt give necros more undead specific spells since all we would have to do is turn the mob undead and then use our undead specific spells on them. /shrug.
Also, I get altars exist in the game to summon your TS. But I still think necros should have gotten a TS summon spell too. Using the Altar causes you to lose xp. The necro version wouldnt and would allow the TS to be rezzed. Atleast this is what I felt was missing from the VG Necro.

Re: Wish List
After logging and and having a run around and seeing abandoned necro pets in the bank and around rift hub locs I was reminded that someone please fix necro pet pathing so they don't stand inside each other. That always bugged me. Thanks!

Re: Wish List
I wish the "customize" button in character creation would work after you have already completed your character like it used to. I'm thinking it was modified to work only on PTP mode.

Re: Wish List
.....warriors really do need fixing. My husband and I made a warrior disciple combo and beat a whole through this game, but I was able to force him to hold agro. Their damage mitigation is amazing and they really should have been first in line for class revamp instead of last. (not even getting that rant started)

Warriors got a kick arse overhaul and were 2nd best tank behind Pallies (groups/raids and even solo), pushing DKs (my epic DK Gromes is very /sad) to almost useless/un needed...
Not sure when you played last but for the last year at least, Warriors were very good, they got a nice boost and do not need anymore "fixing" I assure you, they used to rip aggro from pallies quite easily
beside, class tweaks won't be for a very long time

Re: Wish List
Agreed, My DK was relegated to an Occasional OT by that class "Fix".
They did a pass and basically reworked a lot of the classes to become fairly competent soloers at that point too, sorta further negating the need to group

I myself prefer them as they were, Loved the idea of certain classes having to run in and get consent to drag your body back to a safe spot to be rezzed by healers etc. The point of the Altar and even of retrieving your tombstone and loosing XP was sort of along the lines of be mindful of your surroundings, and bring friends, otherwise pay the piper for your mistakes. By giving a necro the ability to summon your Tombstone, and rez without penalty, it would diminish certain classes roles (read healers with rez, or in dungeon summons) and kind of unbalance the class. (You already get the magic user evac for sticky situations.) I like the idea that classes in VG were tailored to a role, and even in the same group were very specific (Blood mage, Clerics etc) I get where your coming from in terms of convenience and perhaps the idea of a class that can "raise dead" but Necros already get a lot in that vein, (raise newly deceased mobs, summon undead minions, and raise undead pets)
Anyways just my opinion
