Clickies
Has anyone mentioned "clickies" yet? The change they made to clickies was pretty horrible if you ask me. No idea if it's feasible to change them back to what they were pre "lump everything under the sun into the same 3 timer" system.
Re: Clickies
That would be nice, if we are able to revert the BBO changes and go back to 1-50 content and revert the clicky changes, the clickies would then be helpful and the benefits from them would actually be very helpful instead of just being dps boosters, they would be required for some of the tougher content like they used to be

Re: Clickies
By "clickies", if you mean the net effect of clicking something then yes. That's all our code.
Give me a few examples of a clickie and I'll tell you for sure, but think of it along the lines of anything the "server" has to think about, is in our control. If the client does the thinking, we're not in control.

Re: Clickies
Apa meant clicking say an epic weapon to gain the bonus effect once it's charged or clicking a rune of damage and then clicking a QJ and then clicking the helm from CoB etc.
Gaining temp stat boosts and other effects from clicking items.
SOE Devs did a big clean up and pretty much like BBO, ruined all the clickies by putting them in groups together and giving those groups their own refresh timers, but they grouped them with other important or useful items so we were forced to pick and choose between some critical and fluff clickies to get what we needed, it was all round a pretty silly move on their part and showed their lack of knowledge on those items.
So it would involve removing or un-linking those items from those groups and placing them back to old groups or on separate refresh timers to allow more to be clicked.
I hope that made sense it's getting late here, almost 1am lol
Edit: Basically they grouped things that didn't belong together or had nothing to do with each other in the same groups on the same refresh timers, making everything in that group unusable until the refresh was up.
Like Golem pet clicky mixed in with HP pots and damage runes etc, silly stuff.

Re: Clickies
I had this big long post typed out then the site went down for me and I lost it all so he is an abbreviated version.

There was a change that lumped nearly all clickies (Crafted HP runes, damage runes, spell crit runes, vendor potions, etc) into 3 groups and they all shared the same timer. As a quick example before the changes I would have Mithril Rune of Damage, Crafted spell proc rune(i think), Potion of Damage, BoD damage proc potion, Starspark Red among others as all being clickable before I did my bug burst damage. After the changes, I could only do one.
Items, for the most part, had their own unique cooldown associated with it. Not so much after the change.
For example, Vendor potions had different varieties. YOu had Minor, lesser, potion, greater, and major version of HP regen, Mana/Energy regen, and Damage boost. You used to be able to use a mana, health and damage all at the same time. They had 3minute cooldowns before. So I would click my "Lesser potion of Energy" potion and get a cooldown only on the Energy/mana pots. After the changes, if I clicked this Energy/mana pot I would get a cooldown on the energy potions, health potions, damage potions, Magi Hold quest clickie rewards, most crafted runes/talismans, among a plethora of other things.
It was harsh

Re: Clickies
Oh yes, that is indeed lame. I think we can fix that. As long as the timer gets it's data from the Server, and not some internal client thing.
Re: Clickies
Most everyone hated the clicky change. I didn't use many clickies myself, but I did like to use runes of damage and potions of damage occasionally.
To give an example of how they royally screwed this up: Potions of Damage used to give you a damage boost for 5 minutes? 15 minutes? It wasn't very long. And they had a cooldown of about 5 minutes or so. So basically you could pop one, then go about your raid, and if you wiped, you could pop one again for the reattempt.
The new version: Potions of Damage now last an hour. Seems good right? Wait, there's more. It now had an hour long cooldown. So if you go to attempt a raid, and wipe, you still have to wait out that hour duration before you can click it again. It was a really, really stupid decision.
Not just that, but the potion of damage now shared its cooldown with a million other clickies, some of them having their own retarded cooldown timer. So let's say for example, I wanted to use a Soldier Powder (I can't recall for certain, but let's say for example's sake that these share a cooldown), A potion of constitution and potion of damage.
What order you click them in determines your cooldown. The potion of con might have a cooldown of 15 minutes. Click it first and you have to wait 15 minutes to click the others. The potion of damage has the hour long cooldown. Click it first and you can't click the con potion for another hour.
it was really stupid and ridiculous. They said it caused excessive lag, but I guarantee you that if you asked raiders about the 'lag' that they'd tell you straight off that this did not at all reduce lag. And it irritated everyone.
