Enemy Combat AI & Abilities

I am impressed with how much has been added and improved with VG since I played last (which, admittedly, has been a few years). One thing I was really hoping to see added was combat mechanics and abilities for npcs. As much as I love the pc class mechanics of the game - and am really happy with how much better classes work now - enemies charging at me to autoattack for lack of anything else to do is only entertaining for so long. IMO that is the main reason why the mobs are easier; they have no spells to cast or missiles to shoot at you or big attacks to smash you with. There isn't much personality to an evil mage that attacks the same way as a redcap.

Sadly I haven't seen any recent mentions of adding this, but I truly hope that it is high on the to-do list.

It's on the to-do list but we're waiting for the back end setup for abilities to be completed before we even begin on mob abilities. There's no point setting it up halfass and then having to go back through the whole thing over again later. We just don't have the time for that.

You'll get it, eventually, it'll just take time.
