Kandra, you should be able to wipe Kandra yourself from the Account Management portal page. Try it, see if that frees it up. This is disconcerting though, because I'm hearing a similar thing from a few others (Xinux I think, too). I'm wondering if there are local client files interfering?

Xinux?

svguerin, there are posts earlier in this topic about removing the old BETA launcher before installing this new one, and then deleting some files. Check out this thread.

[quote="John Adams":1jxzqe39]Ahh, xinux just reminded me why this is happening to just the few of you who tried Beta.

You have to open your C:\Users\{your account}\AppData\Local and delete the folder "VGOEmulator.net" completely.

That will initiate a new config. The old config has the staging url in it.

Note to self: fix that[/quote:1jxzqe39]

Hi John - I did not install the 2.0 launcher until a couple of days ago, so I don't think I had the old BETA launcher installed. I did a complete search of my hard drive, and I have no folders called "VGOEmulator.net". I definitely already read your note in this thread that indicated: "You have to open your C:\Users\{your account}\AppData\Local and delete the folder "VGOEmulator.net" completely."

When I downloaded it, I downloaded the launcher from: http://vgoplayers.com/playvg/. I get that error still when trying to login.

Anyway, I'll keep playing with it. Thanks for your assistance in the meantime.

[strike:238aq7fr]In that case, go to that same folder I mention and open the LaunchPad.log file, and post the log contents here. We'll get to the bottom of this.

From the stack you posted, it looks like the authentication service is sending an old VGClientLauncher response (9) back to the new launchpad, which does not know how to handle that. This shouldn't be happening, of course. But if I see the log I might be able to track it down. You may have found a bug [/strike:238aq7fr]

nm all that, I can see from your screen grab it's not the release version of the launcher. You need to uninstall it completely, delete the lp_Options.xml file (from wherever it is located) and then download the most current LaunchPad 2.0 app from the VGOPlayers site.

2.0.1.18 was the Beta release (testing before last Sat Jun 20). The Release is 2.0.2.1.

Strange, I actually don't have a LaunchPad.log file in that folder (or anywhere on my hard drive, it seems). I have lots of LaunchPad files, configuration/exe files, but not any log files. Sorry I'm not being much help here. I'm a developer myself, so I want to provide as much info as possible (trust me, I'm used to getting crash reports handed to me with no supplemental info! lol).. Please let me know if there's any other info I can give. I'm going to search my hard drive like crazy to see if I can find any trace of this log file, in the meantime.

I tried that and 'Kandra' is flagged as deleted in the Account Management portal page, but the server still think the name is taken. Might just have to wait for a login server restart if it keeps something cached.

Ahh, you mean the World-side Kandra. I'll nuke him

Edit: should be gone now.
