Re: Cleric DPS
I found that Death Cleric was a great all-in-one. Decent DPS, not quite like a monk but better than a tank, still with the plate and healing. Although it lacked healing bonuses and wasn't as great as a healer could be, similarly to the parse interpretation mentioned above, it was usually the small f...

Re: Casting Interrupts
ESC should definitely work as /cancelability, in top priority over other things the key peels away.
Players could definitely interrupt and block enemy casting and in some cases, timing it right was crucial.

Re: My thoughts on various VG things.
Concerning Hillsbury Manor, and I'm not sure if this was a revamp, while the level 20 content remained intact, the "behind the mirror" area was one of the few things for level 50 small groups. You had to kill one mob a bunch of times, in order to gain resistance to a pretty serious curse i...

Re: Z-Axis / Leashing
This is not really a disagreement, but I did not experience some of the leashing problems mentioned here. With the cliff golems, I wouldn't say they had a very large combat area--not like most of the RI mobs, who would chase you out of the chunk--golems would not really go on the grass, but it was p...

Re: Appearance Slots
I rationalize it in a similar way to inventory, seeing as how you couldn't really have four hundred trees in your pocket. Especially for the tanks, as there have been lightly armored fighters in a tanking role in numerous cultures...when you loot a good plate armor piece, it doesn't have to represen...

Re: Learned abilities
Ah kk...I probably meant "different from a lot of other games' rules"--and while I think it would be a lot more common to miss a learned ability than one from a trainer, point taken. While the variation of learning rate with intellect was probably almost trivial, for something like Ancient...

Re: Learned abilities
One significant difference about the learned abilities is they have no pre-requisites; you could for example, learn Cull III without learning any previous Cull. Also, from what I could tell, the rate of learning scaled with intellect, which was adverse to tanks, but also to get credit you had to tan...

Re: Back to the Begninning with fixes
I tried to bring this up a few times in game, but it seemed to me that 50+, levels don't do very much for you. 50 opens some quests, but unless you are making the 51+ spells, not much happens. I saw multiple 50s come out of retirement who had completed their Griffon sets, and they were significantly...

minor tweak
This might have looked empty when I first joined it and, I put up a more generic user name, but switching to my character name Amnath which I hope to carry over some day...looks like I see familiar folks from the official forum and maybe in game and there's some chats. Oh, and as far as the name goe...

Re: Alternate Advancement
Agree..through most of the game, there were things that required a perfect group, but there was a whole lot you could still do with 2-3 people. After 50 there were maybe five non-raid things to do but you would pretty much have to have the full, right group to do it. T1 collects was pugged a lot for...
