Re: VGOEmu Progress
P.S. SilkyVenom's Wiki is lost in time (2007) and contains most (but not all) info on the state of VG back then. So when the time is right, I'll have something to work from. That is good news, as long as they stay alive. I have a few sites bookmarked (Gamepressure, Telonica) because they did seem t...

Hey kinshi, great to see you on our new community. You stopped in a while back at mmoemulators.com to chat about VGEmu when we were just "thinking about it" hehe ( I even moved your old posts over here ) Definitely looking forward to your expertise when the time comes for some data and tes...

Wow, nice little explosion of new users. Welcome, all To answer, [quote="tad10":1p7db50h]Also I'm very curious at exactly what version of Vanguard you're looking to emulate?[/quote:1p7db50h] Due to the nature of "emulating" we will likely be building the world to match what is cu...

Re: VGOEmu Progress
Just a small update, in light of the Vanguard Sunset in July 2014, we're currently considering NOT implementing the same multiple-client support that exists in EQ2Emulator... because there will never be another client besides the one we have. Seems pointless to extend that effort. You "Team of ...

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen
Because I never, ever troll the interwebs for any reason... I didn't even know about Pantheon and Brad McQuaid I do love Brad's vision for gaming, but I wonder how this one will turn out? We all know how much I loved Vanguard, in concept... but that ended in utter disaster when Sigil sold out to SOE...

Re: Hello
Thanks, Bobbyrocks. We'll likely need some data collection done in every chunk we can gain access to... give us a few days to catch our breath after this announcement, and see if we can come up with a game plan.

SOE: Vanguard shutting down July 31, 2014
This is incredibly sad for multitudes of reasons... the primary one for me being, this will devastate our ability to collect game data for the emulator but also in the fact that Vanguard really had potential to be a kick-ass game -- SOE should have invested more time into fixing it up instead of buy...

Re: Offering my help
Awesome, thank you for joining the community and for your interest in the project. We are currently closed-source (may remain so for some time) until we get some functionality beyond the base framework done. Scatman is our principle developer who is currently away on real-life excursions, but will b...

Re: vg fan
Hey man, thanks for joining and posting. Our plan, as with other emu's we're involved with, is to try and be live-like - always attempting to build in the classic feel where the client allows. We're slaves to the clients, since we do not usually reverse them to get old ones to work. "Gold"...
