None of the Tin Greatsword and Tin War Hammer recipes return an item. I tried one of each from all 3 continents. Recipe completes successfully, but no item is produced. I also tried using ingots with Attuning dusts (Protector's) - also failed. I'd have tried more but I ran out of ore :).
