The Copper Spear is dispayed with the Red shade, meaning it can't be equipped by the character that has it. I've given it to every class that can use it and higher than the required level, and it's still got that red shade on it indicating that it can't be equipped. I did finally test equipping it on my 10 Shaman without issue. It still shows as Red, even when equipped.
