We'd love to share YOUR videos!
We are looking for cool and innovative videos based on all SOE games. Have you got a video to share with us? Email the link to us at player-direct@soe.sony.com. If your video is approved for Player Direct, we'll share it with the SOE community through SOE's social media feeds.
So, as a video creator, what can I do?
- You can create videos that include SOE game content such as screenshots or game play footage.
- You can edit these videos in any manner you choose so long as you comply with the Video Policy and the Terms of Service.
- You can monetize your videos through "partner programs" on sites like Twitch and YouTube.*
- If you want, you can submit your video to Player Direct to help it reach a larger audience by emailing a link to player-direct@soe.sony.com.
*Unfortunately due to volume, we cannot respond to direct requests asking if it's ok to use our content. Please point sites like YouTube and Twitch to this page.
Still, when making your videos or submitting them to Player Direct there are important rules to follow:
- Videos that contain game content may only be used for non-commercial purposes, meaning you cannot license or sell them to others.
- Your videos must not include any material that is illegal or infringes on the rights of third parties.
- Videos cannot feature material that is likely to harm the reputation of SOE, SOE's games, or SOE's related companies.
- SOE remains the exclusive owner of all game content and intellectual property rights in its games.
- Please do not submit videos to Player Direct for Free Realms or Clone Wars Adventures.
By submitting your video to SOE Player Direct you agree that SOE may:
- Add your videos to its Player Direct playlist on YouTube so that it reaches a larger audience.
- Promote your video through SOE social media channels, such as Twitter or Facebook.
- Use your video to publicize and market its games, the SOE brand, and/or the SOE community (see the Video Policy).

VIDEO POLICY
SOE grants its players a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to create and distribute videos that contain SOE game play footage and screenshots. Remember, you may not use, sell, distribute, license or otherwise exploit any SOE game content or intellectual property for any other purpose or in any other manner other than as expressly provided in this Video Policy or the Terms of Service. And, SOE reserves the right to require the removal and/or deletion of any videos that do not comply with this Video Policy or the Terms of Service.
By submitting your video to the Player Direct program you grant to SOE, at no charge, the perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, irrevocable, transferable license to use, modify, make derivative works of, reproduce, exhibit, edit, distribute, and otherwise exploit your video, its content (including your likeness, voice, and performance), and any content connected with the video (such as the metadata listed with your video: your name, user name, or video), in whole or in part, in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter devised, in connection with the marketing, publicity, and promotion of SOE products and services. Such uses shall include, but are not limited to, print, stills, internet, video, audio, broadcasts, webcasts, slide presentations, newsletters, and in other promotional materials. You waive any right that you may have to review and/or approve the final, edited or unedited version of the video and its use or non-use as SOE may determine. You further agree that SOE shall remain the exclusive owner of all game content and intellectual property rights in its games, including all such content that may appear in your video.
SOE may use your email address provided in the Player Direct submission process to contact you in connection with Player Direct and/or your video.
