Starting Friday 7/25 6pm pst 9 est in APW shard 1 we will being an attempt at taking out most of the raid mobs in game. Meet in Shard 1 get there early to get summoned down since I'm thinking of starting at Zaygius and Kotasoth. I still remember when Blackwolf led us on a Kill Them ALL journey through APW over a period of 5 weeks, We did, in fact, kill every boss and trash mob in APW. Was huge fun.
I remember that Leav. I was there for a 2 or 3 of those. What a great guy. My computer kept crashing to desktop. He gave me info on tweaks that helped a lot. Great leader and really set the standard for the guild and it's members.
Well my intention is all of APW's named mobs on Friday how much trash dies depends on how many show up if we have a full raid and can annihilate everything in our path awesome otherwise we can pick and choose our battles to get to all the named. Then Saturday at the open raid time is 4pm pst 7est I hope to get some of the big targets (such as shendu and attempts on at least one of the other near impossible mobs like karax, sparkles, spider) Probably the rest of the magi hold mobs and IOG summoners (all dependent on who is there I will go as long as there are enough people to kill things and work our way down to easier and easier mobs) Sunday - Wednesday I think Exiles old raid time of 6pm pst 9est will work and again will go continue working on the list of the raid mobs in game till we run out of things we are capable of killing. I'll try to have a more definitive plan as we get closer, but APW is awesome so figured it is a good place to start. I think we made a pretty good attempt. Tharridon got the best of us and we didn't have time for all the 12man encounters mostly because we decided to figure out a new mob, and well we avoided cow because well if you have ever been there you would know =P. Kham and the fantastic VG community; Well done on such a fantastic effort in the last week and special thanks to Khamelia for her tireless dedication to getting us to put aside our misery for enough time to properly enjoy our last week. The tireless effort she has applied to raid preparation over the whole time I have known her is commendable and has pulled my bacon out of the fire more times than I can count. I was super pleased to be able to be a part of some of the above and being able to pull off the Arachnidon kill with the old Reverence Pug with a group locked out is a game highlight for me, so thanks to everyone who was a part of that kill. In some ways, I believe it is fitting that the hoary old bastard Tharridon held out during this last week - we loved Vg because it wasn;t popcorn gaming and some stuff was just damned hard - This reflects in the valiant defeats to Tharridon this week and in some ways I am glad that we both had some ill-advised attempts at killing him, and that we got our ***** kicked! Tely PS. Kham, thanks also for taking a bunch of noobs through COB.... about 300 times PPS. To Telyrant, Gronc, Nogusta, Tenahka, Mallet, Sigimund, Attalus, Myrrthon, Kozzt, Pheefi, Incen, Kellhas, Cromb, Pillock, Orfantal, Rue and the other lazy ones - I will miss being you, you cheeky, fun little buggers!
