I was just redirected when I tried to log in, to an official looking SOE page stating that all accounts had to choose a new password. I closed the page, went back to the log in page, and got right in with no re-direct. Is this a legit SOE page? With all of the recent security blunders out there with some other MMO's, I'd prefer not to make myself a victim. Can a dev confirm that I/we/all of us need to reset our passwords? if so, why exactly? Thanks
doesn't sound legit to me.. as personally I haven't been re-directed anywhere to 'update/change' my password (at least yet..). hopefully that helps
It could be legit depending on when you last logged to your account. If I recall correctly sometime last year or so someone hacked Sony systems with possibility that SOE account passwords were compromised. Because of that SOE forced password change to all accounts. So, it you logged to your account after years of inactivity, it is possible that page is legit.
