That's horrible. Hopefully they can fix that as it makes raiding unfun. I am hoping maybe today's update will alleviate some of those issues or at least provide a window for future resolution. [crossing fingers]!

Just so you now, it still lags horribly.

What encounter did you experience lag on this week Fingurs? Lets give credit where credit is due. Our team is making progress.

Are you saying that Tharridon still runs smoothly? Because last time I checked everytime we go there, we lag to death.

When I zone from Rift to Rift with diplos tonight, I lagged hard.

When I died to IWG tonight, I lagged / locked up.

Listen I get it, you want to put a positive approach on it. Thats fine. I will to, when there are positive things to report. I haven't noticed any difference from before. I still get 26 FPS at a raid. With my computer, SSD, ISP etc... that's completely absolutely absurd.

Tharridon - I don't know because the guild we are both in hasn't attempted him in 2-3 weeks. You been stepping out on us or are you just regurgitating information that you got from someone else?

Rift to Rift - ok, so?

Upon death - as long as it doesn't effect the rest of your raid that is alive I don't see the issue.

I'm not saying its perfect and I am not trying to put a spin on anything. I am saying lets try to be objective and as accurate as we can be. There have been marked improvements since the network fix and over the last week it has seemed to maintain well after a server restart. I'm sure Tharridon is still bad, but I am not going to comment on that until I can speak first hand on the subject. I still luv ya Hammie, just sayin, get the stick outta your cornhole already :)

Still a lot of big lag spikes in the game. (Around 5000+) affecting the whole party, but not affecting our teamspeak.
We especially had big problems with lag in QA riverbank.

Teamspeak is a 3rd party communication program, it has nothing to do with Vanguard or its ping/lag/servers.

It is a good indicator of game ping vs isp ping imo. First thing I do during a raid ping spike is check my vent ping, but who knows, cause i just fling stuff against the wall and see what sticks right :p?

The reason why I mention it is because it is a third party program and has nothing to do with Vanguard. So if we are a number of people who all experience lag in vanguard at the same time, but none of us experience it in teamspeak, then we can be pretty sure that the lag is from the game itself and not our different ISP's.

    ;)

I didn't think of it like that, nice ;)

I still don't see any reason for ping to spike on rifting for example, fps sure, but why ping, my internet doesn't suddenly slow down, and vg surely isn't using all of the speed either.

as for teamspeak, if you use the onscreen overlay it does affect the game, since it uses d3d to inject the fps into your game frames. again, should not affect ping though, just fps. generally though id agree its good enough to compare ingame ping to

Is there a disadvantage to making the cache size bigger than 256mb? Or would going to lets say 512 or larger be something not feasible . Just a thought

I believe some others did some testing on larger than 256 and they found little improvements and sometimes other problems showed up in testing. This information was a long time ago and may not be the case since the new network layer changes.
