Assistance with macros please (Bard)

I would be really appreciative if someone who knows what they're doing would assist me with my /wear macro(s). I've asked in regionsay and I've received plenty of replies (and I truly do appreciate the replies) but most seem to not comprehend what I'm really asking apart from one or two.

I know how to equip weapons (my macros were all fine until today). The issue I am having is that I have 2 weapons of the exact same type, same name, same item. I prefer to fight with these. My brother made them for me and they are insane, I love these axes (I really don't care to hear from any bard who says I should be using a shortsword in one hand and a blah blah in the other...I'm using what I want to use. You can have your opinion and I'll have mine). =)

    - I just need help with these /wear macros, please. For the love of all that is Bardling (Halfling bard)...I'm going nuts.

I have it set up (thanks to two members named Chapps and Korvakh, neither of which I know) who assisted me. I now can just double click on my macro to equip both axes after being in a Drums song. However - when I'm in lute mode (Wierlaun's one-handed)...and I double click the DPS song macro, it equips only 1 axe and keeps the Wierlaun's in my secondary unless I make a second macro to equip the other axe in my secondary hand.

IE: It works after drums, not after one-handed lute.

I tried unequipping the Lute in the macro prior to equipping the second axe, but call no joy.

To make a long story short - I need a macro that will work every time, regardless of which songs I was playing prior, or which instrument I was holding prior. I don't mind double-clicking a macro to equip both axes - that works fine for me until I switch to a Lute song...then the double-click on the DPS macro no longer floats my boat.

    Thank you in advance. :)

It won't let me edit, and I neglected to add that Reson (I think that's how it was spelled)...was a massive help to me today also, with regard to macros. Thanks all three of you!

It sounds like the game doesn't like that you have one equipped already. Have you tried making your macro like this?

    /remove "LuteName"
    /remove "Awesome Axe"
    /wear "Awesome Axe" primaryhand
    /wear "Awesome Axe" secondaryhand

This way it'll remove the lute and the axe, and then re-equip them.

Make another axe that is almost the same as the ones you have, but with different attributes. That will mean it will have a different name and you won't have any problems.

    To be absolutely specific:

By different attributes I mean just the str/dex/con (for e.g.) part that comes from attuning crystals. The focusing crystals (e.g. damage rating, energy regen, etc) and resonating crystals (e.g. striking crystals) can be the same for both axes.

You may now be going off on one about how it's not exactly the axe you want and therefore I should shut up because I've misunderstood you. However, doing this will mean that both axes have different names and are still for all intents and purposes identical. The different attributes will be so negligible that you won't even notice, everything else will be the same and you won't have any issues macroing a weapon change.

/wear macros with identical names have always been and will continue to be an ongoing issue. The secondary ugly issue with identically named crafted weapons (and jewelry) is that continental effects do not stack properly. If the Devs say that was intended, they were just putting up a smokescreen. I agree with Lavy, make sure secondary hand weapons are not identical to the first.
