OOC- Let's bring the RP community back to life!

I've just returned to Telon after a LONG time away, and plan to stay this time- no other virtual world out there can match this one. I'm a little saddened to see and hear that RP is dead in the game, it's a fantastic place to roleplay...I know you're still out there, and if we can all band together we can make this fun. There's a world full of intrigue, conflict, comraderie, whatever we want to make it- we just have to get together.
Like I said, I'm recently back and have all new characters- currently I'm playing Rulon, a Paladin/ Knight Errant from New Targonor. Reply here, PM me, AIM info is in my profile. Let's get something going, and others will follow.

I too miss some of the great RP that would crop up in the game, I believe Wed. nights used to be RP night in the tavern in Khal. It would be great to see something like that to pop back up.

Yup. KR ran Tavern nights for quite some time - however the guild is no longer active. You send me a tell in game if you plan to start them back up and I'll do what I can.

Not going to happen without community support. Doesn't even have to be a tavern night...an RP guild of alts, whatever. I'm willing to put some effort in!

Always have been, and always will be a roleplayer that loves this world. Sign me up for anything community based, or a new roleplay guild.

I'd be willing to create said guild. I have ZERO experience on guild leadership (officer yes, grand poobah no), but I am more than willing to give it a good shot. Maybe if we can offer a home, more RPers will come out of the woodwork.
So let's discuss concepts. Mercenaries, traders, what does everyone prefer?

It ties into a religious aspect as well, I think, to provide shelter and forgiveness for anyone who seeks it. Something like that could grow, I think (and would have to, since I've started over from scratch here )...

I'll put some ideas together, and post here again (probably tomorrow). I'll pick up a cuild charter, and see about getting a group together to create the guild, and go from there. As for a name, I don't know...Seekers of Refuge?

Whichever. I myself prefer more creative names. Making ample use of the thesaurus and what not. Or getting really, really symbolic.
However, due to brain being fried, I can't pull one off the top of my head. I will mull it over and write things down at work tomorrow.

Sign me up as well. I'm only about 2-3 weeks into the game but I've been hoping to find a newish RP guild to call home. No better game to RP in then VG from what I;ve seen so far The worlds extremly emmersive.

I'd definetly be game, but I play from like 3am CST to around 6 or 7am. Before deciding to come back to VG I told my self exactly what I wanted. A solo'ish, wandering character. I literally want to explore as much as I can. So to that end I'll be a wandering Disciple or Bear Shaman.
This type of play fits perfect into a RP scenario. I'll be on my Disciple Sohei (Telon) or My Shaman (name tbd)(Telon)

I'm not really into RP events, but I prefer to be RP in game. A lone wanderer tackling what she can to follow her own beliefs, do right by others, and to try and make the world a better place while understanding if you don't take care of you, you can't take care of others.
I am up for an RP guild where I can chat with likeminded people and maybe get together for events, as long as I don't have to interact much ;o
I'm still doing the trial - on a secondary, throwaway account - until I can get tech support to help me figure out why I can't buy the game on my actual SOE account. But when I get that sorted out, I am so in!

Signing in as user "Laierun" here. I would very much like to contact all of you(hopefully I will see any of you online so this can be discussed further) so something cohesive can be made. I have several potential guild concepts to bring to the table(ie, open to discuss and/or debate with you all!) that allow for a wide, free variety of characters to make up any viable reason to partake. A lot of ideas for potential RP can be had in Telon; the possibilities are endless.

Please, please let's make something happen here!
