I stopped reading after the 3rd post. But as someone who has played all 3 tanks, my warrior to 50.. I could easily tank 3 , 3 dots at once, solo, of equal or 1 lvl higher mobs. .. But gear helps.. ALOT on melee.

Why warriors could not have a self heal ? (knowing they have not true invuls, no reset agro, no rezz, no lull, no fear immune, no AoE FT, no shadowstep, no pet, no drainlife, and so many other things... ...).

Event if I should prefer to have a true invul...

I changed my race to have a true invul, as it is disabling for a tank to have not one...
I play my warrior with a shm (dual box) because i I do not want to be obliged to eat an egg every time I kill a 2 dots mobs... (and it is out of the question to buy healing potions.)

What the warrior should do or should do in more to be able to continue to play agrreably ? I love my class and don't want to plays an other one, but it's really painful sometime (all the time ?)

The one thing I think would be good is to allow warriors to use different weapon types better. For example warriors are stuck using two weapons because if they use a sword and shield they actually loose some of their defense instead of gaining it like you would think.

I think it would be cool to be able to use a sword and shield for more defense and a little less damage. Maybe I am wrong though because people can just play a pally. My thought though is the warrior would still out damage a pally even with a sword and shield and that if he went with two weapons it would be a LOT more damage than either the DK or Pally.

As far as two-handers, I am not sure how the warrior presently does while using a two-hander.

I also realize I am new to the game, (only been around 6 months) so I may not be seeing the bigger picture on how VG classes work.

I think the whole thing with the weapon bonuses goes back to class balance. Other than rewriting all three tank classes, the devs went with the much simpler route of defining those classes with their weapon choices. This is a good and a bad thing sometimes. For instance, if a warrior were allowed to keep their bonuses while wielding a nice big ol' two hander (which would be totally awesome, I love two hand weapons) they would be seriously out damaging either of the other 2 tanks. A properly played warrior is going to out damage most other tanks anyway, this would just send them into the stratosphere. I can't really speak to how this would affect a paly, because I have never played one for long enough. Dk's having a sword and board set up to me just seems like blasphemy. I understand that you might want the stats and the extra ac and block %, but that wouldn't really make Dk's any better at what they do as a class. Palies are pure meat shields for the majority of the game, I know they can do some pretty good damage properly geared at endgame, but there really isn't much you can do about that as you're leveling. A two hander would be nice while soloing, but for their intended purpose and play style, sword and board suits them just right. So honestly, in the end all it would do is throw the tanks back out of balance and probably put warrior as the top tank. Plus, remember that, besides warriors being the only tank that can dual wield, you can already play with these combos of tank setup's if you want, you just won't be reaping the full benefits of your class. Kind of like how you could wear medium armor if you wanted, some of.it has really good stats on it for a tank, but you would have a lot less ac than you should.

wh not just instead of increasing dmg with a 2h they increase warriors parry rate. though duel wielding sounds more into a warriors feel

my warrior has a self heal. it comes in the form of a little red potion commonly found in lockboxs

Doesnt it cost real cash to open those?

the parry rate for warriors is already higher than the other two tanks. making it even higher wouldn't make sense.

as far as the thoughts about opening up the weapon styles, i'd say that i've already gotten too comfortable with the 3 styles. also keep in mind that when youre leveling as a warrior or paladin, you can always switch out your weapons for a 2h that has a high top end dmg rating to complete your damage/hate chains. it requires a lot more micromanaging, but its something a lot of people overlook imo.

obviously end game, warriors dont need to switch out weapons b/c the combined dmg will be better than a 2h. and there's a pretty distinct advantage at 55 when a warrior can use 2 of the best 1h weapons consistently.
