A rangers signature skill is the bow and the ability to hit from range others cannot match.
Why should others be able to shoot a bow like a ranger?

the point of the thread was that warriors cannot put from the same distance as paladins and dks. this had nothing to do with ranged dps.

Actually, that should say Warriors and DKs cannot pull from the same distance as Paladins, as Warriors can pull from 35 away with Warbows and Longbows using flight arrows. DKs cannot use Warbows, but can use Longbows with flight arrows to reach out to 35. Paladins can use the Smite spell to pull from 45 away. DK spells are only 25 range.

DKs can use a pet to pull from a lot further then anyone else.

DKs do not even have a pet until level 51, and pets cause more problems than they are worth half the time. Not that I care, as I am fine with pulling from 35 away, but Warriors can do the same. Warriors have more options for long-range bows than DKs do because they can use Warbows and Longbows, while DKs can only use Longbows. Once again, I really don't care, and am asking for nothing, just don't understand how Warriors are supposedly disadvantaged by being able to pull from 'only' 35 away. Old Boney Maroney hardly ever sees the light of day, yet I do not feel disadvantaged pulling from 35 away.

at 51 DKs can still pull from anywhere they want though. That was all I was saying.

    so it would be like:

DK (unlimited) > Pally (45) > Warrior (35) pull ranges

Sooo the first 50 levels count for nothing?
I'm in agreement with Schiller. The DK pet is often more trouble than it is worth. There are aggro issues, survivability, broken abilities, enhanced version despawning when you mount, etc... I only use mine when soloing really.

I'm not sure what the intent of the thread is but, can the players please stop complaining that another class gets something, therefore their class is entitled to it also?

Let's let each class retain some flavor and originality. If it gave them an unfair advantage to their primary role, this would be something different entirely.
    Schiller likes this.

Everyone knows that real tanks don't pull anyway. The just barge right into a bunch of mobs and kill them where they stand, preferably with a list of adds that's off the screen.
Bowdacious, Schiller and Graye like this.

No. It would be more like:
    Pre50:
    Pally 45 > DK(35) = War(35)

    51 onward:
    DK (unlimited > Pally (45) > War(35)

Apparently some people feel that pull ranges should be somewhat equal or closer to each other.

I can only think of a couple of pulls that 35+ range is "needed" as a paladin, typically I pull w/ a higher dmg skill w/ more hate. It's not game breaking, but it certainly creates some imbalance and should be addressed. Smite is literally only good for pulling, I'd be happy to share it w/ the other two tank classes. Just clone it and add them to the class trainers, same mana cost, same dmg, same hate, same distance, same global trigger and the same refresh.

I cannot speculate as my newb ranger is only lvl 25...
All I know , is I kill equal lvl 3 dots in seconds .. Long before they reach me.. And his dps is at least dbl my psi's :)
Fun class, and I like making arrows from harvest

Not for everybody but light throwing spears have a range of 40. I use them with my Warrior and wish I could with my low Pally.
