Hey folks! I've had a couple problems with the launchpad and with connecting to Vanguard overall. I have played Vanguard on my computer before so I don't think it's a performace related issue. I also updated my graphics drivers yesterday just in case. When I try to launch from the launchpad, the SOE splash screen loads, then switches to the Vanguad screen. When I click the green play button, a small box pops up for a split second and it appears to be a loading bar. Then nothing happens for around 30 seconds, then finally the launchpad closes. I then tried to launch from the vgclient, the game proceeded until the connecting... screen with 2 flaming tower above a circle with clouds in the background. However, after a few minutes it says it cannot connect to the server. I thought it may be a firewall issue, but I've run it as admin and same problems. Thanks so much in advance for any assistance!
In cases such as this it is quite possible that the firewall/anti-virus software you are currently running may be blocking one of the game's executable files and as a result is creating this issue. The first thing I would suggest you try would be to temporarily disable this software to see if this is the case. If you can connect to the game with the software disabled please add vgclient.exe, awesmoniumprocess.exe, and launchpad.exe as exceptions in this software. If the problem persists please open a support ticket with us for further assistance.
