Greetings, i'm Setka and have been scratching the surface of this game for a long time, been thinking left and right if this game is something for me. With this gameplay, graphics and time put into characters I have no doubts. Turning my attention to the community is where my thoughts lie and remain; I am a faithful old Everquest II member on the European time zone and heavily experienced role player since long years, in this game I am playing the role as a Vulmane female. What interest me the most about the game is role playing in the end and I asked a channel all about it, someone told me there are a few shattered guilds around that role play but on different time zones - they told me European guilds moved to the US server for better traffic so I am staying on the US server for the same reason. Ultimately i'm a role player asking about the community in Vanguard; the game is very promising to me in every way but with a limited traffic I have been wondering if a European role player can fit somewhere on the Talon server, in a role playing guild or company? Replies are appreciated.
Greetings Setka and welcome to Telon, and to the Telon server! First and foremost, I feel that, most definitely, you would fit right into our RP community. I know that even folks here in the States can tend to play at many varied hours and therefore the time zone and location can end up not being a huge concern when there are such varied play times and schedules. As to the RP community, there are presently two RP designated guilds on the Telon server (of which I am aware) and that would be The Preferiti (my guild) and Blackstone, led by Dhelmar. To my knowledge, Blackstone is rather new to the server, but if my understanding is correct there are seasoned players in the collective. The Preferiti moved here in open beta after leaving Everquest (I had the guild there from 99-06), and have remained throughout. I would be happy to answer any questions that you have, as I am sure that Dhelmar would as well. I would like to comment on one point though, please do not be discouraged if you find that the RP guild populations are less than a non-RP guild, for it does not lessen our enthusiasm and our desire to embelish the gameplay. Additionally, it is the hope of the RP community on Telon that many of our kindred spirits presently in Telon will awake and join us, just as we hope that many more will come to VG and experience all that the game has to offer. This, unfortunately, is somewhat of a self-fullfilling prophecy in that if RP'er choose to move to guilds that are not RP guilds then RP guilds have less of a player base and therefore are not able to do the things that other guilds are able simply because of the lack of populus.
