Who can resist a Line...

  1. This all started due to myself being extremely bored in Veskals Exchange last night, I was joking around with Telyrant while he was crafting for a guildy and asked him to help me test a few things in a duel with my Hostage Negotiations ability (heal portion does not work for the Rogue).
I then made my way over to the Rogue trainer to grab some supplies in preparation for the next days Raid and then over to the rift, for some reason I jumped up on a box next to the nooby welcoming Npc "Lorenil" while I was still talking to Telyrant and to my amazement, a nooby rifted in and Lorenil did not welcome them with his usual waving and arm flailing!
This is where I stepped up to help. I stood beside Lorenil and started waving and flailing my arms for noobies to come over to us to get the Learning the Riftway quest and it attracted some laughter and some extra attention, so I told Telyrant to come over to help and he did! lol
We stood there for almost 3 hrs using /wave & /come over and the more we did it the more people joined us, some bored guildies, some random rifters, it was becoming awesome!
A few strategic messages in /regionsay helped attract some more attention! Players could not resist lol
We formed a Line either side of Lorenil to show our support and by the end, our numbers had grown to 28 players and 1 GM strong! all in a single line to stand and welcome anyone that rifted into Veskal Exchange.
GM Doe even popped in to have a giggle and show her support by not only joining us but turning us into all kinds of different creatures, including flying Frogs!
What started out as a bored Rogue and Pally joking around soon turned into one of the most fun nights I have had in a long time, with everything from Duels to Dance battles plus Telyrants now famous Duck, Duck, Duck , Duck, ETTERCAP!! game.
Below are some screen shots of the Epic Line (that got so big it turned into a less than perfect circle towards the end lol)
    The only rules were:
You must line up, wear only Harvesting gear (to mimic what Lorenil is wearing) & use the /wave and /come over commands when someone rifted in

We had a ball with this as well, it was great to see so many players join in, we might randomly start something similar in the future to see what we can achieve next time! :)
  5. The reuse Timer for Slappy´s Whistle must be cut down from10minutes to 1 or so. :)

I added a few more screen shots and found one i took of you as an Ant! The other 3 are my characters coming over to check you out and see what all the fuss was about :)
Slappy didn't work a great deal due to GM Doe turning us into things, which was good imo lol

If that happens i will hunt you down... =P
  8. Looked like lots of fun. When I saw the frogs I knew Doe was involved. I believe she has a frog fetish of some sort. The impromptu events and adventures are always great times. Thanks for sharing the screenshots Kilsin.

You're welcome mate and I agree, Doe and her frogs...lol
She also turned into a Deer which was kind of funny to see GM Doe above a Deer :D
It was a ton of fun, hopefully you will be able to make the next random event! :)
  10. Oh snap! thats a lotta frogs! LOL looks like it was loads of fun though!!

*the picture with Doe in the middle looks like a summoning circle of some sort especially with everyone having the ghoul illusion

Haha maybe Doe is evil!! :D
I was wondering why she kept disappearing and popping back in at random times, this might explain it lol :p
  12. Just returned after a two month break (RL reasons) and happy to see Slappys Timer went down to 5 Minutes *dance* .
The Whistle is the only Reason for starting on Isle of Dawn. I like the old Zones more than the Isle but when i discovered this Item......
Now looking for some fine Illusions to buy with my sc points earning over the years as there is nothing else useful to do with it.
