Prime Wood Panels/Beams in Qalia

So, everything I read says to go to Ahgram to learn Prime Wood Panels/Beams, yet nothing tells me who to see. I can't seem to locate the Master Artificer in Ahgram. Does anyone know who to see for Prime Wood Panels in Ahgram? I'd go to the other continents where the Master Artificer is known, but my Continental Artisan Faction is over 5000 Qalia and I would hate to have to grind Thestran or Kojani WO just for Faction to learn to make my own Panels.

    Any/All assitance greatly Appreciated

Here's what I have found on www.thetelonproject - hope it helps...

    Learning Journeyman Panels & Beams

    5000 Continental Artisan Faction Required
Level 41 & Journeyman Quest Required
    Starting NPC:
    • Thestran - Rose Olmseed, New Targonor craft area
    • Kojan – Atak, Master Mineroligist, at the gate south west of Southwatch.
    • Qalian – Ahgram
Quest Details: Bring your own mats.
NOTE: These are NOT continent specific. Once you complete these two quests on one continent, you are done. They won't be offered on the other continents, so you can just do whichever one you hit 5000 faction with first.
    Make 5 Grade A Prime Wood Panels/Beams
    Recipe given: Practice Prime Panel/Beam
    Required Grade: A
Materials Needed: (5) Dusky Timber per quest
    Reward: Recipe
    20,000 Crafting Exp for each

Yep, read this one. The Qalian version just says to go to Ahgram, but doesn't mention who to see as the other continental styles do. I've got a fairly decent Thestran Faction, but it isnt anywhere near the 5000 needed to learn Panels. *sigh*

    Thanks for the input.

I did this in Thestra so I never did speak to the NPC in Qalia. However, there are only two places he can be.

1- the crafting square in Ahgram, check each side, there is only one door per side.
2- The unfinished boat you see just outside city on the rift side, as you approach city.

    Good luck!

Ah, Ok. Pretty sure hes not in town, went to all the crafting rooms. Didn't think to look out by the shipyard, but that does make sense. I usually fly into town from the rift.;)
    Thanks!

WOOT! Found Shar Caruma, Master Artificer in Ahgram, in the Crafting room right off the main square. Right under my nose!
    Thanks for the assists, all.

Quick ... hope not so dumb question ... if you raise Thestran faction, does it lower the faction for the other continents, or could you in essence get 5000 faction with all three of the continents?

I don't think Artisan faction drops as you are able to build faction/craft on all three continents.

Yes, you certainly can - they are independent of one another.

That is correct. I have never seen a case where one suffers a hit on the various artisan factions.

The faction points gained (this would be the general city or peoples factions) through diplomacy and crafting will also help to offset the KoS factor from turning in platinum coins for city faction purchases.

Now this is why I read these forums... always a little tidbit I didn't know floating around.

I did know that faction gains through crafting work orders and diplomacy (quests excepted, some do have negative impact somewhere) were independent. I did not know that using the faction coins would potentially move me to KoS because I haven't used any yet. Thanks! :)

Most welcome, Calisthra, very happy to have been able to give needed information. If you check out this link: http://web.archive.org/web/20080624074140/http://www.kayoss.net/vgmounts.htm it will show you all the racial mounts - not if you click on a specific mount to see its image larger, you will see the information under the image of which factions are positively and negatively effected by the coin turn in.
