Hello everyone! There was discussion in a previous thread about a new forum for all of us to keep in touch after the sunset. Isoel took the initiative to begin a Facebook group and named it Castaways of Telon. She and I spoke and decided upon using the group name for our new community site. So, www.castawaysoftelon.com is now hosted and paid up for three years. The site has not yet been built, I will do my very best to work on that some tomorrow, but I will certainly post here to keep everyone up to date. The request for forums will, of course, be one of the first tasks, but if there are things that you would like to see on the site, please post them here and I will do what I can to make it happen. I am not extremely knowledgeable regarding site building, but I will do my best and call upon help from friends if possible. In closing; I know that many of our community are very upset about the closing of the server. I know that many of our community is upset with the powers that be for having made this decision. I would like to share just one thing with all who read this: In the 7 years that I have been in Vanguard the one most frequently expressed comment that I received, read, heard and knew to be amazingly true is that the community of Telon is the best of any MMO out there. This, my friends, we made, each and every one of us. Each time that someone stopped to buff a fellow player, each time someone answered a question in craft, each time someone gave parley advice in diplomacy, each ninja role-play interaction, each time someone offered to help someone get a griffon, each time someone took the initiative to start a pick-up raid...the list goes on and on. So when we catalog the beauty and the greatness of Vanguard we can know that her best point for players, the thing that kept us here drew many to us was the work of each one of us. We made the best thing in Telon, and that is something that a sun-setting can never take away.
Just dang woman! Making me cry over a forum post! Anyone and everyone will be welcome to join the FB group, the website & the forums once they're up and running. If anyone has any skill in web design please message Aasha so we can get things rolling! As for now, will be uploading some screen shots to the Facebook group as albums and videos as soon as I can figure out how lol

Everyone in Vanguard is welcome to join this group and add to it, be it photos, video, or suggestions for a new place to call home. I will give fair warning though, I don't care who anyone had issues with in-game, once you're in the group, nothing gets carried over, if you didn't get along with someone in-game, suck it up buttercup!
For which, please, Morty? I have not completed the forums yet, working on them presently, hence why I haven't announced that they are ready. Would this be for the Facebook group?
No!! None at all. I just posted a reminder to our new folks (the group grew by 15 just this morning/afternoon) to drop me a pm (Lorie) so that I can get everyone's character(s) and guild (if applicable) added to our Who's Who spreadsheet.
Aasha and I are so happy to keep adding members of our Vanguard family!! <3 Anyone & everyone is welcome to join, I'd say we won't make you join round the campfire & sing songs, but umm yea we will! LOL
Progress report: The site is published. There are links to the outside resources that I set up for the community - a YouTube account and a Photobucket account for folks who would like to share screenshots and videos but are not able to host them. The forums still need a little bit of work...but that should be done soon (no trademark needed!). If you check the site and have feedback that you would like to give, things you feel should be there or would like to use either of the outside resources, please PM me and I will give you the information to access these accounts and upload your media. Thank you all very much for your patience! I promise, all will be completely done very soon!
Thank you! I am eager to see how the final style of the forums turns out...but for tonight, my brain is fried...so no more working on the pc's...only playing on the pcs!!
Did you get in Dhelmar? I have the group set so anyone can approve new members, sooo hopefully someone hit the accept button as I'm not showing anyone still pending
Still can't get in. I received the 1st email but never the followup. I tried to retrieve the password and said the account hasn't been activated yet. I'll just sit by the door and wait and maybe I'll look pathetic enough someone will feel sorry for me and let me in.
