  1. Someone in chat suggested it might be something to do with when the game updates your web profile or something. I think they are right because I just did 1-9 on the island with no crashes, and then on level 10 (when it puts your pic online or something), it crashed.
  2. Development is aware of the issues with crashing and is actively working on a fix. They hope to schedule an update to fix this very soon.
  3. it hurts to see something like this not fixed in x amount of days... you guys throw out a new launcher but cant even fix a simple bug in the game that pretty much ruins your game play....

  5. but it still gave me hella of a time to get that stink to work heh. I was on the verge or making a few new buff bots but crashing is one thing i can work with, but lvling up and crashing is another.... the Vg player website needed to be updated a long time ago i guess now they will really have to update it....

  8. This been fixed yet? I have no interest in playing until fixed. I have lost too much crafted stuff crashing before I can loot it.
  9. I just started working Diplo on one of my toons in hopes of grinding out lvl 50 for PotA (since my toon is on T2) and from level 1-6 every level I am crashing to desktop.
    This is very annoying.
    How long until a fix will be patched?
  10. It's definitely the vgplayers blog update.. seems like the client is pushing out the screenshot with wrong TCP settings and causes regular internet lines to become congested. I had that since after the small patch last fall while on DSL, and it's gone since I upgraded to fat cable. My guildmates still keep crashing on blog update, first noticeable when their voice drops out on Teamspeak.
    Seems to happen on all blog upload occasions.. be that level up, serverfirst crafting, or the /blogupload command.
    "working on a fix"... I don't know how convoluted the Vanguard sources are.. but that function shouldn't be THAT huge.. and the diff of one patch can't be that huge either.. ;-)

    This really worries me...if the code is that bad that they can't even do a simple thing like comment out some code, then this game is either horribly coded OR they don't have anyone coding anything right now.

    Funny thing is that totals to something like 100 guaranteed crashes if someone levels all 3 spheres to max level, assuming no discoveries are made along the way... ROFL
  17. It's 5, 10, 15, 20 and then every level starting at level 21. This is true for adventure levels and crafting levels, but I can't verify when the every level begins for diplo (although I know it's true at lvl 32+) as I haven't done any low level diplo since the bug was introduced.
  18. I'm a new player, and absolutely love this game. I just wish Sony would sell it for a realistic price (sum active vg subs, not including station pass, times 5 years) to an indy developer who would make cleaning up the codebase a priority. We all know the code is crap, just like eq1. But with good people behind it, this game could soar.
    When my trial is up I will not pay money for this, and neither should anyone else. F2P or sell it, sony. I'm sick of crashing on level up.

  20. Happily adventuring away yesterday, poking things with sharp sticks, and then i decided to check out a chest laying nearby...got a discovery on a necklace and subsequently crashed, bringing my evening of fun to a premature close.
