Yes, the village is coming along at a pretty good paste. Soon we will be able to do a village party. I guess we will have to give the village a name too ;)

We sure are, always looking for quality members to join our ranks. I am back on Thursday evening EST usually after 6pm, I am off this weekend with nothing but Vanguard planned........ I am sick, I need a life!

If you are looking for a laid back casual player based guild, who like to enjoy the journey of the game. I think Brains and Brawn is for you.
Don't be afraid to drop us a line in game.

I am interested in your guild. I have been looking for someone to talk to but have not seen anyone.

Try doing a /who all brains.

With the guild and friends list borked best way to speak to us. I am oin almost every Monday, Thursday and Friday eve EST, almost every Saturday morning and evening as well as most sunday evenings.

Most of the guild is NA time zone based. We have a few that play during day.

I was on last night from 6pm EST to almost 10:30pm EST. I switch chars alot being an avid crafter but last nigth we did a guild group dungeon run into Gulgrethor Fortress and was on Mentum most of the eve.

BnB March Update (yes always the week before, early newsletter!!)

We have added some new members; returnees and new players a like. Growth is staying slow and steady.

Brains and Brawn village has just seen its 16th house finished and work begin on the 17th. I think soon we will earn the title "Town".

Work on the dream of guildhall ownership continues and the pace has picked up. So much so I now have both the diplo and crafted reqs and status in the MOTD and update it every few days. I would like to call out a massive thanks to Aasha, and Berik for their huge diplo donations to our cause. I also received a large diplo donations from another whoes name I have forgotten and i appologize, its in my ingame email I will look it up and add to another post. What other game would have such things happen so regularly? These are really appreciated, a massive help.

We have formed the Core Crafters team within guild, and now have communal dedicated recources for all who attain membership and wish to dedicate to lunacy.

We have grown to attain our first official recruiter outside of me, Gratz Dracosy, and thanks very much. I also with out question support any who consider us to speak to our general members, Every guild has its own unique feel and choosing can be a hard choice.

We have a huge need for the following:

Great mature players....I don't care about class or race, yes we even allow Gnomes.

Ok little update, do not like to see any good deed go unthanked.
Above I mentioned a great dipo donation, it was from Symbiana. Thanks so much.

Out of the blue Karella has Donated 40 of the 50 needed Minalus Fungus/Mortar needed. Thats very much appreciated.

Once again, the players here show why this is the best community in the MMO space, bar none.

My apologies for not having replied before now, Ex, but you are most welcome and I am hoping to do more as soon as I can. These types of efforts, in my opinion, are what illustrate, perfectly, the true community aspect of the Vanguard populus. It is the community of VG as much as my guild and the game itself that keeps me here and has kept me here for so long.

    April Newsletter;

Ok just a short update, we have had some leadership changes and promotions. This is year end time for me, so play time is almost non-existant. Not much I can do about it, nature of my employment.

    Ladership Update:
Femic has accepted Co-Leadership of the guild. This will ensure the guild has ample leadership and control when there are times when RL keeps me from the game. Easter cannot come soon enough for me, and a release from year end madness.

    Officer Update:
Dracosy and Jharl have accepted promotions to Officers, again give the guild ample leadership as we progress.

    GuildHall Update:
Progress continues, we are now in the Granite hell, since almost all other work has been done. Though Obsidian still on list its a much smaller portion to do. Right new stone is the need of the day and many days ahead. Thanks to the dedcicated teams of Harvesters, we have burned alot of player time.

Diplo stil progresses at an even rate, every few days we add more and more to the numbers.

    Personal Update:
I will be able to login I hope tonight, but I work again this weekend, but its almost to an end. All alts of the above promotions have been made, so anyone looking can find a person in a leadership role most days. Until Easter my time in game will be very very limted, again its the nature of my employment, nothing I can do about it. I do like to eat.

Have a great day all, look forward to better May newsletter when I actually get more time in game.

We just finished the diplomacy quest to get the guild hall writ. There were 7 of us there when Exmortis bought the plot and began construction! All the metal harvesting is done, so we're now in the middle of "granite hell".

On behalf of Blackstone, I want to extend a congratulations on a job well done. You've accomplished the 1st major task toward your guild hall. Now the fun begins with harvesting! :D But the real fun begins once the hall is built and you have a place for your guild to call home. We wish you well!

Thanks very much, I have dumped all curent crafted work into the GH, we are sitting at 39% complete.
  16. Jharl Member

I went to sleep last night and the GH progress was at 50%, got home from work and we're up to 55%! Won't be long until it's finished.
  17. Seldrin New Member

Well well well, I finally found ya'll again...guess I might have to stop playing TOR and get on Vanguard...
  18. Seldrin New Member

    May Newsletter

Brains and Brawn continues to grow slowly and steady. We are soon going to be able to field two full groups of 48+, with a healthy group of new and returning players working themselves up the levels to fill in those etxra spots on route to a full raid force.

    Guild Hall:
We have no brok 75% complete on the Guild hall construction and continue to make enemies of T5 stone and metal nodes every where. We have completed all work but Granite, and are now down to finishing off the last of th ehousing bricks and large blocks loom as our final test of wil power.

    Membership:
Despite losing some members to inactivity we continue to grow and add new faces to our little family. We have seen unprecendented growth in past weeks and we are now see alot more members on all through the NA play times. We have recently begun to direct upper level play time of GH work and to grouping and having fun with our newer members.

    SOE Live:
Currently Jharl and myself hope to attend this event. I will know in a few days if my vacation request has been accepted, and will then book flights, hotel and get my pass. Hoping a few more members can make it, but two who hopefully were have had RL issues come up and make it impossible to go. Looking forward to meeting and tipping an beer back with many of the names I have seen here for some time, soon there will be real person I can relate too behind the toons.
