forget baldur's gate enhanced. try bg2 tutu or planescape torment with widescreen mod

if you want to play bg1 with the bg2 engine AND with the widescreen mod, you should google baldur's gate tutu. after succesfully installing bg1 and bg2 FULLY, you can make BG1 a prelude to BG2 in ONE game. boy, when i played it again... i rolled a half elf ranger/cleric and tried to solo the entire game. it worked (but you have to knw the game and the maps a bit to lvl up the char to decent lvl before you get OP). when i started game at widescreen at 1280x800 i was like...
they can be played widescreen now on widescreen lcd without the usual distortion you get when switching resolutions on lcd.. the widescreen mod works for all games like BG, including planescape torment and icewind dale and 2.

rly folks, planescape torment is the best isometric rpg you can play. REALLY RECOMMENDED to give it a try. it won't look 'old' or 'dated' this way...

note that you can play both games in 1920x1080 too, but you will likely need an extra UI mod then to make fonts and all bigger. and everything will look tiny..

if you got a CRT like me, you can play with any 4:3 resolution you like without the scren getting distorted...
word of warning: baldur's gate 1 and 2 give HUNDREDS of hours of gameplay if you want to explore all and everything. bit less for planescape and icewind dale. so lock up the wife or send the man to pub for a few weeks when you try this. its VERY addictive.
