Vanguard Test Build 134227

Discussion in 'Test Server' started by ARCHIVED-Hobart, Oct 1, 2012.

  1. We plan on going Live with this update tomorrow. Here is a list of things that were changed related to Code only.

-Unlocked status of an item now shows even if you are a member.
-Fixed bug where players would lose their unlocked item status when trading.
-World server will once again broadcast that it is shutting down to players.
    - Fix for can't trade with F2P player if they are already over the coin cap.
    -Fix for logout zombie AwesomiumProcesses.exe

    -Client and server optimizations
    - Client
    - Specifically addresses lag in raids and when targeting raid NPC's. However, this is a core change and will increase performance across the board.
    - Server
    - Optimized numerous game systems in hopes of reducing latency across the board.
-Memory leak fix every time a player zones
  2. Thanks for the update and the Fixes, Hobart.
  3. thanks for the update, do you want us to test anything before tomorrow?

Also, while fixing the ftp grandfathering after a trade, did you perhaps also fix the augments bugging out on the recieving end of the trade?
something that would also be really desired by many is making sure that passive buffs come back after death ( which they currently don't) Like the new lorestone passives kdq passive guild buffs etc.

I haven't had a chance to look at those issues yet.
  5. Any chance you could encourage the other Dev to post here about their enhancements that are coming tomorrow and maybe Thur?
  6. They are working on content release notes now.
  7. Just zoned back and forth from skrillien point to strand of the ancients, every single time apart from the very first, i would get dismounted, without any parachute or GW, quite hazardous.
BoD still gives GW or parachute, weird.

As a side note, i just had an item drop on test which was removed from live years ago. Exactly how long ago was the live servers actually downstream from test, if ever?
  8. Test is a dead end environment. Nothing on Test goes directly to Live, so Test can have some test server specific content to "Test".

Which is what internal servers are normally used for, sorry i don't get the reasoning behind this setup at all.

We have internal servers too that are used for normal testing and are not exposed to the outside world. Test environment itself has the purpose of trying something out with the ability to have public input.
  11. Edit: Wrong Thread.
