Hi! Seems that the game went f2p a week early and I thought I will give it another try. Played a abit in launch but havent really spent much time on this game. Since all the population has transferred to NA server Telon (it seems) it seems like a perfect moment to start in a "new fresh" server hehe. Of course there will be old accounts with old players but not as many as in Telon. Hope to see you all ingame! Cudez
goodluck you know halgar has an avrage realworld online players of a bout 3-5 right ? sometimes you see 14 on a /who all count, but most of them are on the isle. If you have aspirations of ever joining an active guild, come to telon, we have cookies
Arent there latency issues with playing on NA server? or is it just NA by definition? Where do the servers actually reside btw?
ping to halgar is generally about 150, while ping to telon is generally 250 for me. Telon isnt the NA server, telon is THE server. As far as i know halgar is located near amsterdam, and telon is in san diego. i really didnt notice to much change fromt he extra 100 ping i got when moving servers.
Since the game went f2p I was thinking of giving Halgar a chance again. The ping difference is about 150 for me, which is slightly noticable. I used to play on Telon, and its where my majority of characters are. There are 31 people online at halgar atm, not a great number, but I'm gonna stick around and see if we can't ressurect this server somewhat. I also joined a ressurect halgar guild named - The Mist of Halgar. Huk Level 23 Halfling Druid.
I just returned to Vanguard as well. I had a look on Halgar last night, since I'm in the EU and there was over 40 people online. So who knows, it might come back to life! I did notice however that, even though I live 20 km from Amsterdam, Halgar lagged more than Telon??!!?!?!
When I login to Halgar there is a greeting message saying that if anyone wants to transfer his characters to Telon then it's enough to send a petition to support. Does it mean that Halgar will soon be closed, or rather merged into Telon?
I moved to Telon last week, best thing I did. Quick server transfer, fine pings, rocking community and activity. Now just need to find an EU guild
