The Alliance of the Griffin was a guild before there was such a thing as a MMORPG. The original founders are real life friends who played D&D together and established this guild in 1979. Several of these friends are still active members of our guild and have played together through several MMOs including EQ1, EQ2, WoW, Rift and Vanguard. We've been in Vanguard since launch with a 1.5 year hibernation which we recently returned from. For the most part The Alliance of the Griffin are an older bunch mostly in the 30 to 55 age range with many active husband & wife teams. Our close-net guild has always been generous, cooperative and humorous. We enjoy all aspects of Vanguard including raiding, adventuring, questing and crafting. Many real life friendships have been forged through our guild and have resulted in guild get-togethers at different locations across the country. We are NOT a hard-core raiding guild, but we are progressive raiders. Since our guild returned to Vanguard around the beginning of the year, we have progressed at a steady pace and are currently gearing up with Epics and hoping to start on Varking, Sunshine and the like. But to progress further, we now need some new people. We are conducting limited recruiting and looking for individuals that match our personality as a guild. It is important to us to maintain an environment where everyone knows everyone and are always willing to help each other out. We have a weekly schedule and currently raid on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. We would prefer players interested in raiding to have their PotA trials complete and be well underway with their PotA armor. We are currently killing the Sisters with our friends from Final Resolve to get folks onto their epics. my first exposure to raiding in Vanguard was in an alliance with AOTG, I am very glad to see them back and breathing new life into their Vanguard experience. Good people, be sure to check them out. (although, they do not make conga lines with flying mounts prior to raid, this could be seen as a negative)

I always hate to see guilds disappear, but its always nice to see a "soft landing" and having a merger into a good group allows for this. Assuming B&B is normal, the game has recently seen alot of people trail off into inactivity. For us 03 to 05 has been a brutal time, though we saw decent recruitment, it did not make up for the amount that stopped logging in. May the future be paved with success for all who now form the Alliance.

AotG had went into hibernation, but we are back and looking for more to join the fun! We are rebuilding, looking for more to get back to raiding.
My brother Lanik and myself have started playing again and would like to get back into AotG, some good memories there.
Attended my first raid with Alliance, along with two of my guildies. Well run, laid back, no fuss no BS or drama, made it an very entertaining night. Five stars from my guildies, thanks for allowing us to attend, we will try to make more time in the future. Good peeps here, a guild worth a serious look. /tip-o-the-hat

A little about me and what I am looking for: 40 years old, play during CST evenings and weekends, started my gaming in 1996 with Meridian 59 and former guild leader in Lineage II for 5 years. Looking for something casual with some raiding mixed in, although I am far from ready. My only character to this point is a 21 Psionicist. Thanks.

We are Raiding 2 nights a week doing some of the lower targets with the group of people we have now, just need more to fill the spots. Also active on off nights getting people through PotA and getting them geared. If you are interested just send a request on our NEW website or chat with any of our guys in game.
