Some interface settings don't seem to get saved anymore

  1. Does anyone know what the .ini option name for "PC context menus" is? Since a few weeks, Vanguard doesn't seem to save this setting anymore, defaulting to ON at each login, which is quite annoying. I've looked through vgclient.ini and user.ini and could find no entry that sounded related to that option. Does anyone know what it is/was called so I can hardwire it into my ini again?
  2. I'm having the same issue. It's really quite annoying, especially when you're trying to click on stuff in world and accidentally set people to ignore.
I use infomap. I haven't tried uninstalling that first.
  3. It sounds like you guys may have a corrupted interface file in your Vanguard directories. You may want to make backups and then delete the following files:

    default.ini
    vgclient.ini
    vgclient.dll
    vgclient.exe

These files are located within the bin folder in the Vanguard directory. One or more of those files may be corrupt, causing these issues.

Next, delete the configuration files/folder by following these instructions:
    1. Open the Vanguard Launchpad (do not login at this time)
    2. Click Advance Tools, Open Game Directory, then close the Launchpad
    3. Delete the VGUIAssets folder from the main Vanguard directory
    4. Delete the files explained above located inside the bin folder
    5. Close all open folders and restart Vanguard using the Launchpad to login and play

If deleting these files does not resolve your issue, you can restore your backed up files and folders and retain your hotkeys, contact lists, and display settings.
  4. I've done that, and it had no effect.
The default.ini that gets recreated on startup is identical to the one I had.
The vgclient.ini that gets recreated on startup is almost identical to the one I had, except for minor tweaks like enabling precompiled shaders, volume settings etc.
The new .ini also do not keep the NPC context menu settings, and I could find no entry which would sound like it's for that option.
Can you please find out for us how the ini option is supposed to be named so I can add it manually?
  5. something changed in the patch last week because prior i was set to auto join the chat for all three contenents and now i cannot join chat for the other two contenents regardless of what i do.
  6. .. is there really nobody who knows what the PC Context Menu ini setting is called so I can edit it into my file?!
