Shaman pota gear

Sorry Ghost, but that statement is ridiculous on so many levels.

The question still stands. Why can't my shaman choose the melee DPS set when he can already choose the caster set? Shamans wear medium armor. The DPS set is medium. Not adding up

A battle i tried to fight for disciples years ago, with many high detail posts etc. Long story short it isnt gona happen. They're not gona change gear thats 3years old. They seem to have returned to the original armor type limitations for newer content, and i hope they keep doing so. The arch type limitations sucked for both shamans and disciples.

I guess some people are not visionaries!

Any dedicated healer would. It's better to be a healer that won't die than a healer that does an irrelevant amount of damage and croaks when things go wrong. Mind you, my main is a phoenix shaman, but I do have a cleric as well (although only in her 40s) - and she is of the *peace* persuasion. A healer class should be maximizing that aspect; if you can afford to have a shaman do melee dps for an entire fight, swap in a rogue (etc) instead.

You are free to draw that conclusion, of course.

How is it visionary? If you were to try to incorporate "lore" as a reason why a half giant shaman could wear plate gear, then what happens with all other classes? All classes become race dependant for gear? If you wanted to start a gnome warrior, would you be restricted to cloth? Should half giant rogues be given the ability to wear plate armor just because they're half giants? Sorry, nothing "visionary" there. More like game breaking. If you want a healer that wears plate, roll a cleric.

Judging by the initial statement made its fairly obvious that you need better info.
