I myself can not figure how post 50 comments help the market place. Pretty sure 24 man raids made it where any guild could almost walk through ApW. Welcome to progress. Any game that expands or increases levels and stats will make old content extinct/easy not skill.
Example with Full pota gear/epics we 6 man Fengrot/Jagund/Guar to be expected because its old content. Lets just hope new stuff goes back to pushing players to be the best his or her class can be. I promise you Tharridon will. I just hope its a trend that continues, and even with the flack the Devs receive over lag/bugs/etc I say push on. Just be vocal on the forums and open to "ALL" who will debate your choices not just the chosen few who may agree with you.
DIPLO FACTION xp potions I would buy from the market
  2. Get rid of the requirement for players to use the default UI on items or fix it so you don't lose your macros/UI setups when you change UI's.

Most games have a large populous using custom UI's. Restricting players to he Default UI AND wiping their information when they change their UI is garbage.

"Get rid of all the transformation items that turn you into stuff and put a crap ton of culturally specific appearance gear in the store instead.
I want to see my toon in cool stuff, not look like a bug-eyed monster "
    Like that +1
And why not add appearance for weapon and shield?
  4. More bind locations , color dye , make all the consumables stack how hard is that?? When i click on the griffy mount.. it should preview it right??? or any other mount...

This isn't an actual requirement per say, since it's perfectly possible to use these items if your custom UI is fully up to date. Some custom UI's are horribly out of date, and so these new additions won't work, which is why they put the text there in the first place.
  6. some of the rewards you get from the chests, which require you to purchase a key, are not worth a half pence let alone the price of the key. some or all of the potion rewards need to either be removed from the tables as they serve to only fill up inventory space when they come out of a gold lock box.

F2P is not a short term cash grab. Allmost every MMO is free to play now, there are just WoW and EVE
running the old system. Ah and don't forget the huge Warhammer. Best example is Aion. As people don't
want to pay at all, they will be 'replaced' with highrollers that pay for all. Overall you get more money if
    the population increases.
The old and heroic legend is 'We paying heroes saved Vanguard by paying the game over time'. And yes,
that's true. But now there are new heroes, just tiny and level 15. I don't see a reason why they shouldn't
do their part on VG's funding by getting the same stuff that you got in the past. I would rather improve
that fact, selling stuff like Veteran's or Anniversary items for a good amount (just not for cheap).
Your anger about not beeing able to get 0,001% of all items due to the marketplace should be healed
with the fact, that you don't pay for playing. Think getting 99,999% of items for free is pretty good, no?
Marketplace's prices are really ok (I am in that business) and I think SOE did learn something on pricing
and market demand as they run livegamer. If you price items too high it will blow the community as it
happened to EVE with the $70 monocles in 2011.
Why it is 'neccessary' to sell griffons? Well, as a crafter or diplo you can't get them, that's why!
I am level 4 (50+ crafting) and I can buy horses. But due to the mono-spherish upgrades with raiding
I just don't get flying mounts except during xmas or rented ones. That's broken design if you ask me.
You're right, there should be more to buy for crafters/diplos in the marketplace, that's true. On the other
hand, there are like 70% new population just able to gear up blue items (which are crafted) so there's
pretty much to do for crafters these days.
How can a game without 'winning' have problems with 'pay2win' items?
Why do you lose fun if people buy a ship instead of grind for months to get it. You would never know...
You know, some people like crafting really much (such as I am) but there are also people (such as 90%).
And there are a lot of peeps, that don't find a deeper fun in grinding a mount in 200 hours of playtime -
I mean NEVER - but they would buy it if possible, because they think IT LOOKS COOL. With that they
found the fun of others... sounds pretty fair to me.
    Cheers

Mine is up to date. The Default Index and SkinInfo files match up. Using and item like... potion of forgiveness, is a straight crash to desktop.

On another note... The Finch/vothdar boxes to not always contain items of equal or greater value. Additionally, the pets and mounts are soulbound/no trade (and unique) which can cause a loss of money & sticks a character with the item. If anything, you should be able to transfer these items between characters on the same account. (Yay for a LG DK with a skinny little spider mount...NOT.)

I get what you are asking for, but this post doesn't belong under the marketplace feedback topic.
Using the default UI there is a saveui command that you can use so if this happens you can reloadui. I don't know if it saves your macros as well. This may be a partial work around the issue you are speaking of.

How doesn't it belong? It is in direct reference to, and providing feedback about marketplace items. Seems to be a perfect response to the thread.
(now a bit off topic to address the UI/macro issue)
Switching UI's from on to another, will primarily wipe out all previous macros not stored within the first hotbar (maybe two). That is if you're lucky. Using /saveui & /reload does nothing to prevent this. This issue is caused by the location of the macros being stored.
Another "partial workaround" would be just using the default UI... that isn't happening unless they force people to and I'd just move on.
  11. I think that marketplace is very very well done, and contains vanity stuff mostly alongside few convenience items.
Appearance items could use more variety, especially medium and light appearance armor sets.
And i cant beleive there is no horse mount in marketplace... (having said that i saw picture of warhorse on your website).
  12. Being relatively new to the game, I've noted several things that I like, and unfortunately, several things that I do not like in the game in genral, as well as in the marketplace.
The first thing that comes to mind is how the marketplace items have replaced crafted items. It's not just a matter of being the same type of item, but a similar item that replaces and supercedes the capacity of the crafted version. I mean, with your ridiculous maximum of 20 stacks of things like ratty hides as opposed to the 100 of ratty strips...my first question is why can't the ratty hides go to 100 too? Most likely because you want us to buy that nifty 60 slot bag that gives us an extra 20% run speed. Clever, but at the same time, annoying.
The item shop if full of game breakers like those bags, mounts, and ships. Crafters who could make the ships and busted their tails to get the recipes are being slapped in the face. Why struggle to get all the materials and hunt down a crafter in the ever diminishing body of players when you can spend 12 bucks and have the biggest ship in the game? Why hunt down a tailor to make you a...36? Is that the biggest they can make? 36?...a 36 slot bag, when you can spend 5 bucks and have a 60 slot bag that makes you run 20% faster? Why bother to quest for that flying mount or ground mount when you can spend 20 more dollars and have both with only the effort it takes to enter your credit card info?
In a nutshell, the marketplace is loaded with items that leave crafters with a whole lot of thinking, "Why bother?" Honestly. Why bother? This, of course, has left us with a lot of people not even willing to make the ships/bags for people because they won't make enough profit from them, and they are, thus, not worth the crafter's time. With that mentality, it leaves players like me with no choice but to buy the game breaking versions from the marketplace.
The corporate greed doesn't stop there though. I have played EQ and EQ2 and there's a bit of stuff missing. Where are the account bound items?, and where is the account-wide vault space? You know...that vault where we could put our account bound items to share between other characters on the same account? Why can't we fill up our vaults with bags that we can then fill up with stuff, like in EQ and EQ2? Why do I need to buy the marketplace bags and appearance gear for every single character instead of sharing them between all of my characters?
If I pay for a gold membership and buy the items once, am I not spending enough money already? How much more do I need to spend before it becomes enough? I'm fairly certain that the marketplace versions of bags, mounts, flying mounts, and ships are not going anywhere, but I don't believe that we should have to buy them over and over for every character we play. If you want to entice the free to play crowd to part with some money, make an account-wide vault, and make it only useable by pay to play (Gold) members, and then make things like those nifty 20% run speed bags, Ships, and mounts account-bound, and stick a banker and mailbox on the Isle of Dawn or bring back the original starting areas.
And the locked boxes. 140 CS for 1 key? Seriously? You'd sell a lot more keys if you only charged like 25 CS for 1 key. I have parted with a few bucks to open some of those chests, and for the most part, I only found myself feeling ripped off. The items that came out of the boxes were so not worth it.
To sum it up, I would have to say the brief thoughts are:
    1. Crafted items should be superior to Marketplace items, or the Marketplace should not be offering items that replace Crafted ones.
    2. Mounts, Bags, Ships, and possibly Appearance Clothing bought in the Marketplace should have an account-bound flag.
and 3. Based on Point #2, as well as generally being tired of mailing things to my alts one...at...a...time..., there should be an account-wide vault added to the game, with a banking NPC and Mailbox being added to the Isle of Dawn.

I have a lot more to say about the game, since it is fairly obvious that Silius hated the players with such an obscene sense of anti-player sentiment, that took many measures to attack us (the players) in many ways...which, of course, caused tons of players to leave the game in a mass exodus, but that isn't about the marketplace, so I'll post those thoughts elsewhere in the forums.
  13. the soulbound flag needs to be removed from the mount's and vanity pets that you receive through the lockboxes, or you need to allow gms to move said illusions to another character on the account. i cannot say how disapointed i am with the chances for these lockboxes, and absolutly disgusted that a best in slot item is placed in them. if you want us to spend station cash on items, fine give those of us with a subscription the chance to spend the 1500 sc on the item instead of the lock boxes full of junk. or just up the chance, because after opening up 41 of those things and getting nothing but junk and repeats of soulbound items that i cannot use and gm's will not move, my desire to never give sony another penny of my income is growing very strong.
  14. I've been having fun returning to vanguard and have been slowly leveling up three characters - a warrior, rogue, and shaman. I actually reached the point last night where I was interested in possibly buying some vanity armor for one of my characters and so visited the marketplace for the first time. Below are a few basic observations:

    1. Make the icon for the MarketPlace more obvious . . . it was the proverbial if it had been a snake it would have bit me but for the life of me it took me a while to find it.
    2. Expand the amount of vanity items significantly. The racks in the marketplace are all but empty with very limited styles and options for different classes and include more descreet pieces like hoods, cloaks, gloves, boots and not just entire outfits. If you want my money give me something to buy.
    3. Redo the approach to previewing vanity armor. Since the marketplace screen takes up 80% of the screen real estate, having the vanity armor appear on my character while hidden by the marketplace screen isn't very helpful.
Ultimately I didn't end up buying anything even though I wanted to!

    Thanks.
    • Appearance slot cloaks (Different colours and styles, hooded, hoodless, some with markings on the back etc)
    • Fighter's Crate of Supplies 4 is missing bracers from the outfit.
