Druids have a wide variety of spells available to them. We have high dps, great buffs, utility and strong healing. With the changes and addition of these new stances, we are often forced to choose what to focus on due to the CD of stance changing. Are we going to DPS through mana-based spells and generate phenom points? Or are we going to dump a ton of phenom points at once to do serious damage? Or are we going to focus on supporting our group? We are totally capable of being main healers in groups. Druids definitely have the healing power to main heal. However, we aren't able to res allies. If we were given a battle rez, or an out of combat rez (or BOTH) we would be able to fulfill the role of healer much better. I really don't see this is as a problem. There are plenty of other classes in VG that fulfill multiple roles. The bloodmage and disciple (disc can really fulfill 3....) come to my mind first. What do other players think?
I think it is a slippery slope when you start giving classes abilities from other archetypes. Give Druids a res, and Bloodmages will be asking for evac, Bards for taunt, Warriors for feign death, etc. As for the out-of-combat resurrection, you can already do so by either having a healer give you their gem beforehand, or getting a Rez Gem from the Marketplace.
Druids are clearly part of the healer archetype though. Look at how much healig we have! Paladins also have res. if Druids weret meant to be considered healers we wouldn't have this much healing AND a dedicated healig stance

I think that it thats is true, then druids need major nerf to healing. Druids are not and have never been healer class.
I MAY BE WRONG, but I really don't think a druid can Main Heal a normal group doing challenging content. If they could, i'm thinking people would know about it by now. I'm think the problem would be energy and efficiency; they would just run out of energy and druidy points to fast and not be able to keep up. Theresa
Druids are not main healers. Druids CAN heal, but outside of group content it's not a make or break facet of the class. On lower end and less difficult group/duo/trio content a druid can be the sole healer, but for raid content and a lot of end game group content the druid will not be enough to be a primary source of heals (spot/emergency heals and raid/group wide HOTs are doable, but druid heals are not big enough or efficient enough otherwise). With that in mind, and although I've always joked about how druids should have a Rezberry they can conjure for themselves to use, I think the cash shop Rez Gem option is fine. It serves the same purpose and it can be traded, bought from the Marketplace, or purchased from the broker so it's readily available.
Okay. Druids may be "Spell casters" and not "Healers," but we can "cast" a lot of "heal" "spells" .... does that make it clearer to you what i meant? So, Paladin has rez, why not druid?
Because there's already a caster class that has rez capabilities - Necromancers. Maybe you can pick another spell to copy from healers - how about Hero's Call / Summon?
I'd rather see druid stances implemented properly than moving the class further from DPS into their utility aspect.
So what I've gathered from this thread is that players are simultaneously upset about adding a "healer specific" ability to a non-healer class and okay with 2 other non-healer classes possessing that ability lol. Druid is clearly a hybrid. Adding res won't change the game drastically or the Druid class
As much as I'd like to have a rez or summon sometimes, I think it would be a mistake to give it to the druid. We are a caster DPS class. Although we have heals and other cool stuff it is really a stretch to call us a Hybrid. We have a lot going for us, we are the best BURST dps class in game and we have lots of utility. We cannot put out the sustained DPS that other classes can, nor can we heal as well as a healer. This is as it should be! There is already a dps and a tank class that has rez, lets not take that uniqueness away from them. I'd rather have some better tools to reduce my aggro. There is no class that is more fun to play than the druid in my opinion and never a better time to play one. We have so much going for us, if only folks would open their eyes! Peace out!! PS. Ok, look, Respect to you Binikeru. I get where you are coming from. I just think giving a rez to the druid would be a high profile move with really only minimal gain to the desirability and playability of the class. There has been lots of progress and improvement to the class recently I would rather see some tweaks to aggro management and broken abilities that a funky rez, jus' sayin!
If we are giving out rezz can my mask of the feral warrior get a rezz effect on it cause it heals me. Also i can make bandages to heal myself so a rouge is also part of the dps healer so maybe we can get scrolls of rezz. Sure why not it wont change the game that much. Please be sure you sarcasm detector is working.
