As my main is a druid, I will gather informations about them and wanted to share my thoughts... Basic Infos: http://vanguard.wikia.com/wiki/Druid http://www.vanguardmmorpg.com/vanguard_classes_druid.php http://www.thetelonproject.com/druid http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/59461 Detailed Infos: http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/59464 (these infos should be clear) http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/59466 (a healing guide) http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/60247 (kiting abc) http://forums.station.sony.com/vgold/posts/list.m?topic_id=54411 (macro guide for druids) http://vanguard.wikia.com/wiki/Druid_(Class_Guide) (dont see this guide important) -> INT + WIS most important, VIT 3rd important -> play with the stances: if you want to heal, go Okeli's Guise, kite with Hierophant's Blessing and strike with Lunarian Ire (and Hierophants Blessing). -> take the right race,if your druid has to be good (more infos: http://www.thetelonproject.com/attributes ): Dark Elf, Goblin, Half Elf, High Elf are best races for a druid (or other spellcaster) -> you re not only a damage dealer, but also good healer. And dont forget your berries, they re great for your group except the tank.
I'm not a druid but I would like to add Varanjar simply for the racial. If you are a raiding druid you should have no problems capping your INT raid buffed. And who doesn't want 25% damage for 35seconds?
disagree: the INT of the Varanjar is capped to 5x. So you would take a race only for a buff that has a duration of 35s and that you can use how many times in an hour?
While "Base Int" is "soft" capped differently for different races, Raid Buffs and gear allow you get to the hard cap.
His setup is situational at best. Gnome isn't listed as a druid race either.. and at +3 int and +1 con, they would be a good contender now also. Simply for racial's sake, Varinjar, Qalian Human, and Halfling bring the best to the table. I picked Vulmane (when you were race/class limited) so I could get the bonus into base WIS, while dumping into INT and CON. Really the stat "bonuses" for each race are of little consequence. The hard caps are the same across the board. The only advantage is for self-buffed solo play, low buff group play, and the ability to more evenly distribute some stat points around. As for play style... I only touch HB when I need to regen phenom, and putting dots on during the start of a raid fight.. then I remain in LI stance because.... well DPS. The heal stance is pretty Meh. It is alright if you have a bunch of other things to back you up, but it doesn't make up for the lack of heals upgrades post 50 nor the massive increase in NPC damage output post 50. A well decked out druid (with some hefty tankage and smart DPS crew) can actually single heal quite a lot. Sadly it requires everything to occur like that instead of the original purpose. Most of the links there are heavily dated, and the best druid source went the way of the dodo after they fired all those SOE employees. =/
