Goodbye Halgar from Fondation

Discussion in 'Halgar' started by ARCHIVED-Inspiria, Nov 20, 2010.

  1. Hello,

The guild Fondation is leaving Halgar, as much as we loved our server and the other players there, it has just became too empty and malfunctioning for us.
As of today, we all petitioned to be moved to Telon where we will keep on adventuring ( and wiping ).
We'd like to thank all the individuals and guilds that helped us and will keep superb memories of our adventures there.
A new world await us, where market isn't empty, where people can find pickup groups and where there ARE people out of Khal bank or PotA hall :)
Personnal thanks to the guilds I was previously in The Ancient Order and Darkwind, plus to all other individuals from Ritters or BoX and all the disbanded guilds that helped me around some time.
Hope that we ll get to play with the other euro players again some day when they move as well ! Let's show those americans who can play :p
  2. Goodbye for now!
But it won't be for long :)
  3. Halgar's loss it Telon's gain.
    Welcome.

given the lack of support for the game, is moving servers doing anything but slowing down the inevitable?
  7. maybe slowing down is worthwhile in it's own right

On halgar u can hardly get anything done anymore due to lack of numbers- if u have something on your wish/targetlist then it either has to be group/2 group content or Telon
  8. I'd like to move over to Telon myself but don't really want to lose my name, even tho there seems to be four Hawkmoon's on Telon already er...
  9. On Halgar its usual to have less than 40 level 55 players logged. At peak time...
As far as I know only a few guilds are still active and doing raids ( if 12 ppl groups are considered as raids ) Xanadu Ritters Fondation and Heroes, can't see anyone else.
Seeing people actually LFG offers on general chat, or more, any activity on general chat is a big improve :)

OMG, activity on general chat, I used to mark those days in my calendar already!
btw. Ritters and BoX have started to petition their server move today

Guess that leaves Heroes as the 1 remaining raiding guild on Halgar? That could have benefits.

Yes, maybe I am wrong but afaik also HotF is aliancing on Halgar atm. And soon they can be called last heroes. Anyway, competition on raid mobs is something I haven't seen since ages. Only limiting factor used to be the shrinking player base .... oh well don't remind me, spider down below 20% twice in row and right after that raids never been strong enough to go for it again...
  13. Yes and no. Hotf raid 3 days a week, that will be the guild with most raid days. With about 8-14 raiders this will be less people then the raiding "alliance" have that raid once a week who 3-4 Hotf people attend.
  14. Hmm
Maybe if you all transfer to Telon they will close Halgar and spend time fixing things? (one can dream) lol
Then we can all be one big happy red headed stepchild family on Telon and at least be able to group and enjoy the game we currently have :)
  15. Well, u gotta wonder when they will pull the plug on the server. It probably is hardly worth keeping it running, if not for the fact that there are no updates to do which porbably would seal the fate of the server fast as doing double patching across continents would probbaly push the balance firmly into a merging corner.
Now cost-wise it probably isn;t hugely different unless stuff starts breaking on the serverfarms.

However- playerwise, it is like walking through a graveyard most times and that feeling will only get worse untill the server is inhabited by solo players and some diehard groups and/or secondary players from people that mainly play on telon

They let Sartok get worse than this and kept it alive for a long time so who knows.
