If I hit a snag, I will take that snag with my Gnome Pscionicist, find a WoW Gnome, and proceed to beat it to death with said snag :)

Even the crafting snags in VG are better then most other games, hehe

Some would argue when to do the Banisher quest line, since you can start it as soon as you get the invite quest around level 11. There are better guides out there, unless you are mass producing crafting mules, than yea this one is sufficient to give you an idea of what needs doing.
For continental quests, there is a great looking tier guide here: http://www.thetelonproject.com/continental-tier-guide

Just a bump for new players, like to keep it on the first page.

When I return from SoE Live I will redo this with updates from feedback, game changes and more info to help flesh out crafting for the new VG player.

That would be great to see this updated a bit. Your current guide is also on The Telon Project.

It is on my fall to do list. right now its summer, that means lake every weekend, and 3wks vacation at the lake (just ending, heading back home tomorrow.).

Once summer ends and my play time picks up, I will revamp my guide.

Summer's over! Can you revamp it to link to the quests in step 6? :)

I do want to update the guide, maybe I can get permission to edit it one time. However I wont link quests, the guide is meant as a high level overview, I still want to foster exploration and discovery. It is a fine balance, Vanguard is big and daunting, but it is oh so rewarding to just strap on the boots and go wander. My hope is you read the guide, it helps you through the struggles of understanding crafting and levelling up, and instils some wonder lust to see the game world itself, and visit every city/outpost/town you can.

S'okay, when I left a long time ago, I was at 21 Weaponsmith/ 24 Warrior. Now I'm 35 Weaponsmith and 32 Warrior, hahaha. The Veskal's Exchange revamp took me off-guard at first, but once I got out of there and explored the wide world of Telon, I found the quests, I think. The people in Ahgram are very needy once you're about 20 or so, needing new cloth, exotic goods, tracking down a stolen tonic water recipe... In New Targonor, Grodek the blacksmith and Lucca the Bookbinder were extremely grateful for my assistance in providing them new leather binding materials. I managed to gain enough influence through helping Tawar Galan outpost to get rewarded a couple of Gold Masterwork Sigils, enough to be taught how to upgrade Iron Weapons. I also learned how to make Qalian and Kojani style weapons! And then, as you said, once I hit 27 or so, I met Ashlyn of the Banishers in New Targonor! She's kept me busy meeting new people at the Society of Invention in Ahgram, tracking down their Volt Star for them, too.

I don't even have a Lucky Rabbit's Foot that I hear most people acquire on the Isle of Dawn, though I did help the sheriff of Rindol Field track down Captain Umbertroe. He was so happy he gave me a medal! ;) I hear they can teach me how to make charms, in Khal...
