    [Engine.GameEngine]
    CacheSizeMegs=32

    When this stupidity ends? Why do I have to manually correct this to 256 each time I launch the game? Is this so bloody difficult to fix once and for all?

    I agree, all you have to do is fix this and throw it in a patch file...PLEASE!!! Ill send you mine if you will patch it!

    I used to agree, but then I tracked down frequent crashes on my second PC to modifying the cache value. Leaving it at 32 has fixed the problem.

    I agree. On my lower spec'd PC that only has 2 GB of RAM, running with a 256 setting pushes RAM consumption by the OS (WinXP 32 bit) and game beyond what's physically available, forcing things to the SWAP file which really kills performance. What I think the dev team should do is relocate that settings to some spot in the UI, where the player can manually override it. It's one of Epic's Unreal 3 engine settings though, so maybe the Vanguard team aren't at liberty to do that?
