I am not sure I ever made that claim but thanks for the info it helps.

  4. May you consider lowering the Recall timer? Running/Flying over chunks is downtime....players don't progress and would raise money spent on rift ways, which I would gladly pay.

    Ah, sorry Naghite.

What are talking about? Where do I claim that only IWG has any lag? Have you even read the post you quoted?

If it is not clear to you, I am referring to Silius initial question "if sparkles spikes at certain points in the fight like IWG does" and the answere to me is no, because I consider the <30% phase of IWG as unique and far worst of all encounters ingame. Sparkles does definitely not come with an IWG-like spike issue.
The question "will lag spikes occur at all" is a completely different one and somewhat needless to say as lag spikes occur for 95% of all raid encounters ingame - basically any encounter with adds, mass killing aoe effects, burn phase, crowded areas and whatnot. It is definitely far greater than the 4-5 targets you listed.

    Summed up:
Is Sparkles laggy? Yes. Are 95% of all raidtargets laggy? Yes. Does Sparkles come with some unique lagspike issue similar to IWGs spellrip at <30%? No.
I in any way do not want to see any more time being wasted with addressing regular raidlag or some other lag issue. Full focus must be on the latency spike issue caused on the April 12h downtime, nothing else.

    Right there.
    He is not.

Right there what? Can you be any more cryptic? You are quoting parts of the point I'm trying to make not more.
If you disagree with the statement, come up with a list of raidtargets which come with unique lag issues. And as you obviously fail to grasp the point I'm trying to make, I suggest u to read my previous post rather than interpreting a single line the way you want to.
  9. Just to be clear.. is this thread about "Item Timer Refresh Discussion"? or "Raid Lag"?

And still... Meteor staff MYTHIC item (was wrong earlier when typed legendary).. Back on its OWN 2 min timer.. currently share 5min timer with potions and powder and MH wand (huge kick in the nuts to anyone who ever got one)
  10. Sorry to further derail this thread, but since Silius is reading it, here's my 2 cents:
I think there is a miscommunication going on here between Naghite, Nils, Silius and other folks. I think they are blurring/confusing 2 different types of lag. There is lag that can occur in raids that is caused by the individuals own PC and there is the server side lag that effects the entire raid at once regardless of their PC's strength. The lag that everyone has been complaining about since the maintenance incident is server side. We experience lag spikes that affect the ENTIRE raid (Every single person in the raid locks up for periods of 2-8 seconds). It's not like other lag, where some people with really good PC's don't lag, and people with lesser ones don't. It seems to me that Silius is trying to concentrate on the later, when the main problem here is SERVER SIDE.

    Back on topic -

    Agreed.
  11. McQuaid mentioned in /ooc last night that all the current lag issues are server-side, and eliminating it is priority #1.
  12. Jakson@Telon wrote:
So that once again brings up the question "What did they do during the maintenance in April to the server(s) / Network that has caused this?". Find the list of what was done then, and start going through it with a magnifying glass, and can almost guarenetee thats where you will find the issue.
  13. Jakson@Telon wrote:
This statement is incorrect. We are finding lag in both client and server. It is however priority #1
  14. i know the differentiation silius but im not sure everyone does. even if its client side it doesnt mean that its our hardware at fault. he is probably refering to the client code rather than our pcs
  15. Well back on topic, you really need to rework item refresh timers, legendary and heroic items shouldnt share their timers. Its wrong for so many reasons, we have emptied our dkp to get these items and their worth was always in the fact that they could be combined with other items. These items worked fine before the lag started for more than a year.

Furthermore considering the fact that the new items from solo and group play pre - 50 now pretty much pwns pota t2 armor ( seen chest plates level 45 thats gives 6.5& CDB at 55 ) its an even bigger reason to not downgrade raiders. The lag is due to something else than our clickys. Getting the cragwind item is a long time consuming quest, so is the Rhaz helm and so on and so forth. This change really needs to be reverted. It does not set us free, it shackles us. It clones us. It removes all indiviuality from players. Walking that mile to get the edge no is something to laugh at. Please revert this change. Having Ring of Replenishing haste and Ulvari mask of speed on the same timer for example is pure bogus.
  16. Mackan wrote:
You are correct Mackan this thread has indeed derailed. I will start another thread about the lag and one other thing I want to get discussion going on.
  17. Im so sorry Silius after all the explanation you did I still cant let this question go.. What happend during the 24 hr downtime, that when the servers were brought back up the lag was introduced..
  18. Silius wrote:
am assuming the client reference is to the handshake given that all players , regardless of equipment experience the lag simultaneously on IOD. Although there is evidence that not everyone experiences the same lag in raid other than the huge spikes.
  19. "Summoners Cap of Control" is sharing it's cooldown with other 5 minute items.
  20. Well.. this thread just sorta died out.. When do you intend to come up with a fix??
