Hey there, I posted this on the old forums but believe there wasn't a response before these ones were launched: I was wondering if it is possible to split accounts (transfer characters from one account to another). My interest in this is based off the fact that I've recently updated my computer and would like to box my characters without having to re-roll. Is this possible at all? What's the price tag?
That at least used to be possible. I have done that (although it was before game went free to play). Main thing is that you do own BOTH accounts and can prove it to SOE. After that it was just making a petition for transfer.
That works even after F2P. Just prove, that you own both accounts, and GM will transfer the char. But they will tell you that this is an one-time offer (per char), so you can't go back once you moved it.
Is it possible to shift SC from one account to another? I played EQ2 on a different account and have a fair amount of SC on it. However when I returned to VG I used my old account so I could play my old toons. I'll not be playing EQ2 ever again and would really like my SC here in VG.

I have had this done twice with diff characters and accounts, GMs will handle it fast and smoothly!!! They even send you tells from your own characters, man is it strange talking to yourself, when um.,,, Its not you!
I'm thinking of leaving my two healers on one account and swapping all of my others over. Does that seem intelligent?
GM work at VG is best I have seen to date, no doubts about that. When I split mine it was fast and pleasant experience.
I'll be splitting my account either tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm going to keep the healers on one account and transfer the others to a secondary account (that I'll purchase gold membership for at the same time I renew my current account). From the Knowledge Base [VGD] Character transfer The origin and desitination accounts need to both be in good standing (active Game Pass, and no prior bans or suspensions), and both accounts must be owned by the same player. Based on this you cannot transfer a character from a Free to Play account to an active account (character slots available on active account)? or Vice Versa (noting said character will be affected by the FTP restrictions on transferred)? As a Necromancer I reserved the right to Necro this thread.
Yes, we can. I own several accounts, 6 of them are gold, others are not. I moved a char just yesterday from a gold account to a non-gold account. The GMs ask you to accept some penalties such as less XP and faction gain (due to the non-gold). Once you accepted that, you will be moved within minutes. So feel free Cheers!
Thanks for the quick response Leather. I don't plan on moving any characters from gold to FTP, just FTP to Gold at the moment.
Yw No worries, that's almost the same. I moved my lowbie rogue from FT2 to one of the gold accounts, quite a while ago (as the gold accounts were pushed with XP bonus). That worked pretty well tho. You even get the veteran rewards with your toon as you finished to move. Cheers
