As I'm reaching my 30s with my disciple I'm finding more and more quest rewards and dungeon drops for medium disciple usable armor has Vit as the main stat, usually with maybe dex, once in a while healing power, and oddly enough quite often I see Wis in there which is kind of useless for us. I'm still wearing a full suit of HL/URT armor. I'm on the last step of CIS for the weapon and am already starting to gather armor pieces. I've got chain CIS boots which are a pretty awesome DPS upgrade to the URT ones. I'm baffled though, the chain CIS gloves are not DPS at all, and I thought scale was the heal medium armor while chain was the dps one. I'm almost afraid to bother grinding for the rest of the CIS armor. What are you guys doing for STR gear, where, who, how? I know I will switch eventually to more healing gear with Vit as my main stat, but I still need to keep STR up even after that as a secondary stat and I'm just not seeing it pop up much. Thankfully my HL/URT armor is still better than high 20s drops, but that can't last much longer.
Crafted gear! Seriously. This is the best option for 'weird' classes like the disciple. It lets you mix and match. And there's some very nice crafted stuff too. That's what I did for the most part with my Disciple, when I wasn't using mob/dungeon drops. My friend actually makes fun of me to this day beause I kept using a Yellow chest-piece from the Blighted Lands. It had a huge amount of Str on it and I just couldn't find anything to replace it for a long while (she did end up finding something for me eventually, but still).
plenty of +dex +str stuff on the ah, thats meant for rogues and all.. just set broker to look for adventuring/adventuring armor and then select your class.. then manually look for each armor slot, for your lvl +20. that way you can buy gear before you can equip it.. in the long run it gets you full set. some armor slots are hard to fill though. i can also recommend orange quality lvl 29 crafted martial staff with +dex and str. wood orange rarity is cheap. and fighting with 2h is best idea for str/dex disciples, since your finisher crit line multiplies the base dam of weapn (which is very high) times 4. and besides, fighting donnatello style is cool!
