You are correct. You have the right to get the item. As you stated earlier in this thread, you just lack the desire/drive to get it. PoTA access can be done in a little as 45 minutes (maybe less). If you know have 1 hour per day to play and no access to the "mythical super-group" capable of a 45 min run, you can't manage to kill the mobs required for access? For two characters, it will not take >1 hour to collect the 3 shards. For two characters, it will not take > 1 hour to kill the 3 named. For two characters, it MAY take >1 hour to collect pages. It will not however, take >1 hour per page. It isn't that you are denied the right to have or get the item. You do have those rights. Those rights include effort on your part. You deny that aspect, so you do fall under the second portion of the definition. If I could solo the first two quests in the PoTA access quest line series on a CLERIC in swamp gear, there is no reason that a duo team can't manage the same. that leaves a whopping 4 special mobs that will require outside assistance.
They put some snazzy loot on a few raid mobs. Does that mean they should put it on other easy mobs because you are "entitled" to it? Seriously. Part of entitlement comes with the work/effort to achieve it. You are entitled to have access to everything VG has to offer. Simply being in game does not afford you the luxury of having those things, it affords you the luxury to do what is required to obtain them.
You answered yourself right here. If you have the griffon, you can obtain the aug if you have PoTA access. Without PoTA access, you cannot obtain the aug. Thus, without PoTA access, you do not meet the requirements for obtaining the aug.

Well, you are obviously a much better player than the wife and I as well as being better geared - there is no way we could/would be able to accomplish those quests on our own.
I can't imagine you've been able to obtain a 320 speed mount if POTA access seems so daunting, so please stop complaining about it.
Better geared? You can't manage swamp armor? You can't manage city faction armor? ( I did nor have city faction gear, and only a mix of swamp/MH equipment) Stop being the victim. If you don't have equal or better gear than that, you didn't earn your venerable griffon either, you were just carried through. If you could manage to have the venerable griffon, you could manage PoTA access.
With regards to the Karax lights - I just had a thought. The "problem" with the lights going away has not been acknowledged. An answer to the question has it been fixed - has been avoided. Have they been turned off intentionally in an attempt to make the event more difficult?
Ok, so this is going to be my last post on this subject -and no we are not leaving the game First off I'm not crying victim - I'm stating facts based on my/our play style and schedule - My apologies to all that it doesn't meet with other's styles or schedules - I'm very sorry we don't sit at our computers for hours and hours day in and day out killing the same mobs over and over hoping to get a piece of the almighty greatest armor in game available whether its swamp, pota or other - I'm also sorry my wife and I are not as good as the rest of you at the mechanics or playing of the game. - I'm sorry we don't have hours and hours of play time to be able to do the high end content that requires the obtaining of high end gear to not be a burden on others by having to drag us through content to obtain the almighty gear. I'm sorry I've offered an opinion on an open discussion forum - shame on me. I'm sorry I'm trolling by answering posts with an opinion - shame on me for having one. I'm sorry my point of view is so anti-vanguard - I should be drawn and quartered or led to the slaughter so I no longer have a point of view that is not in line with the high end veterans. So lets get this right...The patch to patch the speed patch is waiting for a patch from another patch to fix the patch that will patch the first patch into the second patch, however to get all patch into one patch might break the game further since the patch to fix the patch that wasnt broken before the patch is now patched completely, sorta, but yet we all all just waiting on other people, who prolly dont have any coffee to create a patch in patchwork timeframe. All this means is that I am entitled to that patch now!
@Piestro Could by any chance you could ask if its possible to add the mount aug to the City faction Pegasus , Wyrven from Dresla and Alagan's "head" reward pls... Thanks!!! And for future speed upgrades (if ever) the Griffon and POTA mount too...
I have to say if anyone has a right to comment on this and have their opinions taken to heart, Leavwiz and Unleashed do, considering the number of people they have helped to get their griffons over the years. I bet many of those people do not have PotA access either. As PotA has absolutely nothing to do with the griffon quest, it makes no sense at all to require PotA access in order to reap the benefits of having completed the griffon quest, and that's all this is supposed to be, right? Amen Dielle! I do not know if it is being caused by frustration or what, but one of the greatest attributes this game ever had--the best, most helpful and welcoming community ever--is quickly being lost as a few have taken it upon themselves to play the part of class bully, especially here on the forums. Heck, I even admit I have become meaner and grumpier after spending too much time on these forums, but what I am seeing makes me very angry. New players being ripped into and called names for having the audacity to post in a thread where the bullies have decided they do not belong. Accomplishments made with help being denigrated--what good is it for a guild to help, like Unleashed has all these years, if the person they help is just going to be scorned and ridiculed? I do not want to be a part of that. (And for all the wiseacres out there, you bet I have had my share of battles here, but always with other vets, who were more than ready, willing, and able to mix it with me!)
After reading "some" of the last posts I'm a bit confused. Thought you had to finish all the POTA questline to get the POTA mount and unlock the Flying Augment, but reading most posts you would think that you only need acces to POTA. I only miss the sisters event and unless it was changed I don't have acces to the augment. As I understand it, it is a reward/unlock to those that completed POTA. On a side note, I have Venerable Wyvern (305 flying speed) and a Venerable Young Griffon (only 190 flying speed after all the effort) and none of them have enhancement slots, is it intended or where they forgotten?
Nope, you need a 320 mount to get that augmentation, it can be the raid griffon or the PotA mount. Non sc mounts don't have a slot because the dev team plans to add appearance slots for mounts. You should do the raid part of the griffon quest, it's not hard, in fact the hardest part for that raid is getting enough people to start the event, the event itself is really easy with the right classes.
