From approximately 3pm-7pm CST Aug. 20th I have been unable to get my character to appear in character select. I just returned to Vanguard and did a fresh install, 5GB. I made a new character, then about 1 minute later I was booted like the server shut down/crashed. I tried looking on the forums, but the forums were loading extremely slow. I quickly did a check of my connection via speedtest.net, and was getting about 4 Mbps which is more than enough to load the forums. The forums were not responding or responding very slowly (took 2 minutes to get it to load a page). All of this seems to indicate the servers are offline or bogged down? I finally got into the forums 7:15pm and pages loaded fine. But I still can't connect to the game server to get my character to load. When I make a new character, it shows no game servers are up. Yet nowhere am I seeing a notice of downtime for the servers..
I haven't noticed any downtime, of either the forums or game servers, in the last few hours. Possibly an issue with your internet connection / ISP?
Well, 9am CST the next day it's working. Forums load fine. Yesterday I was able to load other websites fine so I already ruled out my internet connection.
