Vanguard has amazing class design. Every class had depth and complexity and took basic mechanics that have been used over and over again and made them fun. I have to say, Bloodmage is the best class I have ever played in any MMO. Watching health bars wildly fluctuate while at the same time hitting for some pretty decent DPS was always really, really fun. Even if they weren't behind the original design, I hope SOE realizes the great classes Vanguard has in addition to the rest of this special game. I think we'll probably never see another MMO that's entirely like Vanguard, and I'm sad to see it go! You are absolutely right, bloodmages are a unique design that many people highly appriciate. My friend kalbuir keep saying its one of the best classes he ever played in any mmo. granted it went downhill some when they introduced mobs that reflect damage, and mobs that had massive mitigation etc. The problem with so many different unique classes in vg is that itemization is a nightmare, if you look at the 4 healers alone, they practically want/need 4+ different gear sets. I really hope we ever see a game with complexity of vanguard again, with some improvements . Because as much as im excited for EQN, the class and ability system really looks a bit boring
