My ranger has recently (within the last month) started getting error messages when foraging; the loot window opens and I can see the items, but when I try to loot them, I get "You aren't looting any corpses" often followed (maybe when I click the loot button several times in disbelief) by "You weren't looting any corpses." I have to dismiss the forage window and try again, sometimes with the same results, sometimes actually getting to loot the items. I believe I saw a necro in OOC asking about a similar problem with his necropsy window last night.
I have seen this before and I know there was a work-around for this. Or something that you were doing that caused it. It also comes up when the server is having issues, like recently. I am still looking for what I found before, it may have been in-game.
is this related to issues with bloodmages as well? i've experienced some problems looting organs for symbiotes
I believe so. Is the stuff you couldn't loot sometimes able to be looted the next time, like multiples show up?
I think this is happening again due to server connection issues. I saw this a few weeks ago and this last week I have seen lag spikes again. It is annoying when your group mate starts to get hit and you are mashing all of your heals and the spike is done and so is your party member. I believe fixing the lag may fix this issue.
I have had this issue with Gnomes Racial Ability (Distillation?). The loot window pops up showing the shard of life/energy/endurance, but I get that same message "you aren't looting and corpses". So I end up hitting the "X" to close down the loot window and 1 minute later or so the shard shows up in my bag.
