  1. Hello

Just started, created character, entered world, help?

Is there a tutorial on how to get going? I've managed to kill this massive slug thing, saw some people in mad armour running about, worked out how to use the map but now i dont know what to do. Can't find help on youtube either.

    Cheers
  2. type /ooc in the chat window and ask, plenty of us there to respond and give you a hand.

In addition to Leav's suggestion of /occ you can also join the /help channel. You will find game veterans and new players alike in the channel and assistance for all sphere questions.
There is also the /craft channel if you would like to ask specific questions about crafting and for diplomacy you have two options, /dip and /diplomacy.
Welcome to Telon and I will look forward to seeing you there!
  4. It sounds like you started in your racial starting area, which can be really fun from a story point of view; however, if you arent familiar with MMO's, You may also want to put that character on hold and create a new character that starts on the Island of Dawn- this is a separate starting zone that has a number of tutorials showing basic game mechanics in adventuring, crafting and diplomacy. This might help answer a lot of questions while actually playing-
Best of luck, welcome, and as others have noted, VG's community is unusually helpful, so please ask questions :)
  5. @First two posts,

I just litterally hit enter then /help or /ooc? Do i need to type /help what do i do? or how does it work.

    @Laxhack,

Which character do i need to start in IODawn? I am human and i thought i went there already but i guess not, hmm, the map had a town called Cush and a castle too.
  6. Sounds to me like you started in Tursh, that is the Human starter area.

When you create a new character you will be given two options where to start, either Isle of Dawn or your Home Town.
If you choose the Isle of Dawn you will be lead through the beginings of the game.
Make sure you keep an eye out for a little black box with a red ! that will pop up, if you click on these and read them, they will give you information relating to actions you have performed and explain.

If you are still having issues, try typing /ooc and whatever you want to ask into your chat window. You will find alot of very helpful players who are willing to always help.
  7. Stabbas is right on target- only thing I wanted to clarify is, when starting on the isle of dawn, you can pick any of the races that would otherwise be available for your subscription-
  8. Ok cool i made an Elf and that, found my way into the Isle, did some quests currently doing one called Investigate something and shut the source.
got help from a cool guy called Rolx who gave me this awesome bow, he helped me with chat mechanics too.

    So quetsion now,

I noticed i log into the Isle straight away without world choice, how long does it take before i can leave the Isle as im sure its the newb place?

Also can i make my own arrows one day? Ive used all of mine xD
  9. If you keep following the quest chains in the Isle, it will eventually get you to Lvl 10 along with the option to leave the Isle - Well, not really an option, as there is no reason to stick around at this point. 1-10 at the isle should get you well on your way to becoming a VG aficionado. You can not, however, leave the Isle until you reach the end of the quest chain (If I recall right).
And yes, you can make your own arrows if you choose the correct crafting profession - which the Isle can also help you get started on. I believe in the main little town square you run across on the Isle, there's some fella standing around who can help ya get started on crafting/harvesting. Until then, you could easily buy more arrows from Ranged Weapon or General Goods vendors.
    Have fun!
  10. Ok dayon thanks!

Last question, where do i find vendors? Just around towns with Vendor under them like all other NPCS?

Thanks this community is very helpful therefore ill advertise VG on three other mmos i play!

Whenever you enter a new town, simply go up to one of the Guards and speak to them. Most offer a choice of directions to vendors, trainers, etc.
