While I love the core of the game, lately it seems the bugs are just killing the experience for me. Examples: 1. Running through KE to help a friend get caught up in quests. Mobs instantly keep repopping. You get them 1/5 down and pop they are back full health and reattacking. Never ending circle. 2. Lag. Before it was just on the original Isle it was horrid, lately I get the red bar a lot. I know it's just not me as my friends who are on vent w/ me all have it at the same time. 3. Minor annoyance. I play the game at max settings, jet everytime I log back in it drops be back down below 1080p. (Yes, I have tried modifying the ini to force it to 1080p w/o luck) #2 is the major issue... it's just becoming unplayable. Sad but has me thinking of trying EQ2 or Star Wars

Well I guess I am one of the countless people who have left VG b/c of the bug issues. I just wanted to make sure the SoE understood why they were about to loose a 'paying' customer. Yes, the lag issue has been mentioned 100,000,000 times. Unti it's fixed I am sure it will be mentioned that many more. However, I haven't seen that KE issue reported before, but I may have missed it.

Oh, and to the OP. Please dont throw vanguard away because it has some buggyness. It is still a great game. They are working on lag and bugs. It will take time. If you feel that you just can't handle it right now. Please continue to check back for fixes.

In the grand scheme of things, I firmly believe that a few (ok, maybe more then a few) bugs with excellent gameplay, lore, mechanics, and community (For the most part *eye roll*), would definitely outweigh the superficial enjoyment you MIGHT get out of games like EQ2, which while may run smoothly, caters to those who enjoy quantity over quality. Stay strong, friend, and keep those bug reports coming. Only YOU can prevent future new player frustrations.

Ignoring the in-between stuff- Ive also had my on/off w/ VG, have taken breaks (SWtOR, TSW) but always seem to come back here- despite the bugs, VG's just that good- Take a break, have fun w/ another title for awhile, and then come back- I think you will

The fake dev chat you posted maybe correct, however it seems to have taken a turn for the worse lately. At the heart of VG is a great game no doubt about that. I wish nothing but the best for this game and community, as they have been nothing short of great to me. The lack of real investment from SoE into VG is what's hurting it, I am sure the devs are doing the best they can w/ what limited resources they have. Luckily it's now F2P, so I can let my sub fade and check back from time to time to see it's progress. (Should I decide to try other MMO's) Best Regards

Someone gets interested and comes here to see what the community is like, and they see complaining. It doesn't make a good impression. People quit and join this game every day and don't feel the need to make a "Welcome me / Give me a nice sendoff / convince me to stay" threads. It won't change anything.

Actually, whats going on here is a community collectively banding together to defend a new player of Vanguard from another members unwarranted and quite irrational aggravation against the former members legitimate complaints. It's really quite warm and fuzzy.
