Macros, where do they get saved?

Simple questions like the title says.

More specifically, using Maddy's crafting MOD. It has the 3 nice continental windows to help sort your recipes. If anyone has every tried to use this you know that typing in each recipe is a pain in the a$$. Plus we know VG doesn't like copy and paste that much.
Does anyone know if the macros are stored in a file and which one? Would be much easier to copy and paste into a text editor and having them appear in game.

If they are not stored in a file on the drive, I would think this could be a BIG help to us that are constantly making them and using them for anything. Make it so please!

The macro's are stored server side (that is, not on our computers).

I know your pain, but don't think we can expect that to be changed (due to prioritizations). I would like to think it would be a smaller dev effort to at least get our recipe books sorted alphabetically, and that would be a huge help.

Or better yet at least tabbed by styles and then sorted by tier. getting tired of looking for a T4 weapon only to be listed in between T1 armor stuff I learned on the other specialization I don't use.

Server side. We've been asking for a year now to get that fixed in some way, but the fix likely wont help you (as it will allow us to store the location and data within macros and not lose it but not fix the copy/paste functionality you are looking for). It is possible to sort of copy and paste within Maddycraft (and the UI in general). Just open up your macro like you were going to edit it, then drag and drop the icon from one UI box to the next, then highlight the original UI box location and click the "create" button on the macro editor window that yous till have open. This creates 2 copies of the same macro, then you can open either one and simply edit it with the name of the recipe (or spell or whatever you are trying to get the macro to do). A bit of a fudge, but it at least means you don't have to type out the whole thing each time.

That would have been very helpful when I setup maddy!!! nice tip.

Yah, I didn;t know this - gonna try it today.

It would be very helpful though to have some sort of copy/paste for macros rather than having to type them out line by and risking the chance of a typo and then having to "debug" the macro.

I can certainly understand why they are not client side - too much temptation to scam - but a copy/paste would sure make my life easier *hint hint devs * ;)

kind of did a mix of drag to copy idea. Created all the macro for lets say t2 kojan, dragged copy to Q and T. then in notepad typed Qalian and Thestran. Copied one of them, went into each macro and just backspaced kojani and (ctrl+v) style name in its placed.. still had to type one set of names but better then having to type all 3 sets. repeat for each tier
