Bloodmages and Crafted Gear

  1. Should they get Thestran style for accuracy or Qalian style for arcane damage for lifetaps?
  2. wow that is one of the more interesting questions i've seen on these forums in a long time. i am assuming that you are leveling up as a bloodmage and that is why you are asking so please correct me if my assumption is wrong. as a bloodmage you need to both hit the mob and do damage to heal, so both are good choices. if you are killing things close to your level (where you don't miss as much) then i'd suggest going for the +damage set. however if you are going after things that are significantly higher level you might want to go for the +accuracy sets. the accuracy would be my choice for 50+ if you are bypasing swamp and city faction (though i was never a fan of the city faction/apw bloodmage set).

I'm definitely bypassing swamp gear! My bloodmage is actually leveling his tailoring for that very reason. I was thinking the accuracy too for higher level content.
  4. if you want a VERY good tip for bloodmage crafted gear:
by stone focus weapons that are crafted.
ONE with +arcane spell damage focus and +%crit chance (name something like arcane simulacrum of sorcery.. but can be wrong))
and ONE with +physical spell damage focus and +%crit chance (name something like physical sumulacrum of sorcery.. but can be wrong.)
the low tier ones will keep you at max spell focus for your lvl for a LONG time. lot better investment then +INT, since BM only uses two spell types, and with these babies you got guaranteed +20% damage (and also heals) for a lot of levels.
for the rest.. buy flawless scholar armor of sorcery. so +int/wis and +%crit chance on spells.
